Jack Grealish gets an early red card after parking his £220,000 Lamborghini on a double yellow while dining with Sasha Attwood (but still ends up with a £60 fine)

The Premier League season is still three days away, but Jack Grealish managed to earn an early red card on Tuesday after parking his £220,000 Lamborghini on a double yellow line.

The Manchester City midfielder, who signed for Pep Guardiola’s side for £100 million in 2021, found himself in hot water during a night out with girlfriend Sasha Attwood for reasons unrelated to football.

Grealish, 27, treated the influencer to a romantic dinner at The Ivy, but the night turned sour when they returned to his ice blue 4×4 some three hours later.

The talented footballer was confronted by three traffic wardens after they saw him parked with a double yellow card, but still managed to avoid a mandatory parking fine of £60.

Ironically, the amount is just a drop in the ocean for Grealish, who reportedly earns £15 million a year from his Treble-winning Premier League club.

Grealish is currently preparing for his third league appearance with city after spending the summer celebrating their historic triumph in the Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League – a feat last achieved by local rivals Manchester United in 1999.

Three months before that was recorded, the footballer wondered if City would win anything at all. And, while they were in second place

He told MailOnline: “It was exciting. I think if you go back to the international break in March, I thought, “Are we going to win something this year?”

“After that break, especially in April when we only drew one game out of about nine, we were unstoppable. The most irrepressible I’ve felt. I just had so much faith.

“It’s been a whirlwind. For the first two or three weeks after that, I didn’t really take it in. Now it’s been a while and I’ve come to terms with it. It was the best weeks of my life.’

Grealish spent part of his summer training in Dubai, saying he prepared for a grueling trip to Asia in which Pep Guardiola had to moderate the intensity of his sessions due to the humidity.

But the footballer believes personalities give City an edge. He immediately befriended Erling Haaland when the Norwegian joined – which not everyone expected – and the pair went away together to the south of France during their downtime. The squad, Grealish stressed, does not have an overwhelming ego.

“I saw Ruben (Dias) (Mateo) mention Kovacic and said he couldn’t believe how close we all are,” he said. ‘We don’t just say that, it’s the truth. We have such a great group here and hopefully it can continue like this.

“Since I’ve been here, we’ve had brilliant captains (Fernandinho and Ilkay Gundogan) who keep the team together by going out to dinner or doing other things.

“We lost Gundo, who was a huge part of us, but you make so many good friends along the way in football and people come and go.

“Of course it’s sad, but we have a great team and a very strong group.”

Football Grealish’s Awy has received much praise for appearing to donate £5,000 to a 20-year-old who has only weeks to live.

Young Birmingham City fan Dylan Lamb is battling blood cell cancer and doctors fear he only has a few weeks to go.

His family organized a £1 million appeal on GoFundMe to raise money for a clinical trial of the treatment he needs in America, and Grealish donated the large sum in July.

The footballer has been praised by fans from several clubs for his donation, with Dylan’s sister-in-law Kelly Payne saying: “We’ve sent the appeal to loads of footballers – I think he probably saw it.”
