Jack Grealish comes close to falling off Man City’s Premier League title parade bus TWICE… as Pep Guardiola enjoys a cigar and Phil Foden swigs champagne

Jack Grealish was spared an unfortunate disaster when he was saved from falling from Manchester City’s open top bus for their parade on Sunday afternoon.

City players and staff were in the festive spirit as they celebrated their fourth consecutive year Premier League title during a parade through the city.

Pep Guardiola’s side had to wait until the final day of the Premier League season to retain the title after being chased by rivals Arsenal all season.

Like last year, there were some wild scenes in the north as Guardiola and his team paraded the title in an open-top bus decorated in the club’s colours.

Grealish was the star of the show last year as he took part in a three-day bow ahead of the title parade before taking an iconic photo on top of the bus.

This year, however, Grealish almost suffered a disaster when he came dangerously close to falling off the bus twice.

In a clip that appeared on X, Grealish was seen dancing with his hands in the air before the city bus drove on, almost throwing him off.

Fortunately, fellow winger Jeremy Doku was on hand to catch the England international and carry him to safety at the top of the bus.

Shortly afterwards, however, another video appeared on X, again showing Grealish almost falling off the top.

In this clip, taken from the perspective of a fan on the street, Grealish stood next to Rodri at the top of the bus as they sang along with the fans.

But as the bus left, both players were thrown forward, but luckily Spanish midfielder Rodri put an arm over Grealish to prevent him from falling.

The likes of Phil Foden, Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne also enjoyed the day’s festivities – with the England star taking some time to reflect on their ‘special season’.

Foden said: “It has been a special season. No one has done it before, it’s an incredible season. It’s the hunger in me. We have great players, we want to win more next season.”

Meanwhile, Norwegian talisman Haaland said: ‘It was beautiful, this club is great, I’m so proud of everyone.

‘There have been many good moments. When we knew we were going to win the league, that was the best. The support we get at home and away is incredible.”

Even Guardiola was at the microphone that day and said: ‘We are (happy). It’s a big achievement, that’s why we’re here again.

‘Even I couldn’t have expected to stay for eight years. Everything is OK. It (winning) looks like a routine, but it’s not a routine. We will be back. Next season we will win the FA Cup.

In addition to their Premier League title, City also showed off their Club World Cup title and their UEFA Super Cup title, which were claimed earlier in the campaign.

Many expected City to also claim the FA Cup title, but on Saturday afternoon they were defeated 2-1 by rivals Man United in the final at Wembley.

However, defeat just one day before their title parade clearly failed to dampen the spirits as the players and staff celebrated on the bus.

Guardiola was seen with his trademark celebratory cigar, which he has often done since claiming the first of their four consecutive league titles.

Meanwhile, the likes of Foden and Spain midfielder Rodri were seen dancing and drinking heavily as they enjoyed the festivities.

Thousands of City supporters lined the streets of Manchester despite the day’s rain to cheer on the team and witness the parade in person.

Some supporters even climbed scaffolding throughout the city center as they sought a vantage point to watch the parade unfold.

Pep Guardiola and the squad set off from Cathedral Gardens near the National Football Museum at 7.30pm before continuing via Exchange Square and Deansgate with the parade ending outside the Hilton Hotel at around 9pm.
