It comes as Jack wished his dad Thomas Black a happy Father’s Day.
The Shallow Hal star took a selfie with his father in what appeared to be a church.
The duo were both smartly dressed in tuxedos as they posed together.
“Happy Father’s Day is popping…you look younger than me!” Jack wrote in the caption.
Jack is currently enjoying a well-deserved break from touring the world with his comedy rock duo Tenacious D.
The next musical group will perform in Sydney, Australia on July 13, but tickets have already sold out.
The duo consists of Black and his bandmate Kyle Gass.
Last year, Black revealed that of all his film and TV credits, he is most proud of their 2006 film, Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny.

He praised his father Thomas Black for Father’s Day, writing along with this selfie: “Happy Father’s Day is popping…you look younger than me!”
“In a weird way it could be Tenacious D In The Pick Of Destiny because that’s the only movie I’ve written,” he shared People from his 2006 musical comedy film. ‘So that’s actually my real baby. Maybe it’s not the best, but it’s the one I’m most proud of.’
Kyle’s signature role came in the HBO series Tenacious D (1997-2000) featuring the fictional stories of the eponymous real-life duo of Kyle and Jack, whom he met in the 1990s after joining Tim Robbins’ The Actors Gang in the early aughts. 80.
Since the beginning, the boys have been all about heavy rock ‘n’ roll power chords and lyrics about sex, Satan and why they are ‘the best band on earth’.
Episodes typically conclude with scenes of the band performing at an open mic night, with the events in between often serving as inspiration for a song performed at the end.
According to Kyle, HBO offered Tenacious D a deal to make ten episodes, but that would require them to give up their roles as executive producers.
Ultimately, Kyle and Jack decided to make a movie instead of giving HBO creative control of Tenacious D, and made Tenacious D In The Pick Of Destiny (2006).
