Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet reunited 27 years after Titantic when they attended a screening of her new film Lee at Harmony Gold in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

The pair starred together as Jack Dawson and Rose DeWitt Bukater in James Cameron’s 1997 blockbuster.

The former co-stars seemed excited to be in each other’s company again as they shared a hug while posing for the cameras.

Kate, 49, stars in Lee, where she plays World War II photojournalist Lee Miller, who cheers on the war for Vogue magazine.

At the screening, Kate looked elegant in a black blazer and matching top which she wore with black leather trousers.

Leonardo, 50, whose most recent film was 2023’s Killers Of The Flower Moon, looked dapper in a navy blue suit and black top.

Along with Titanic, Leonardo and Kate also starred together in the 2008 drama Revolutionary Road, based on the novel by Richard Yates.

Kate earlier described how she and Leonardo ‘immediately clicked’ on the set of Titantic.

The actress started her interview by talking about how Leonardo’s energetic attitude quickly endeared him to the cast and crew of Titanic.

She remembered via Entertainment tonight: ‘He was kind of a mess of long, skinny, uncoordinated limbs. And he was just very free with himself, and he had this vibrant energy that was really magnetic.”

The Oscar-winning actress recalled thinking, “Oh, this is going to be fun. We certainly get along well.’ And we just really did that. We really did that.’

The Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind actress then said that she found working with DiCaprio completely natural.

‘Once I started working with Leo, we were able to find our own rhythm. And it’s great to look back and think about it again,” she recalled.

Kate also revealed that she still kept in close contact with The Wolf Of Wall Street star.

‘We are connected on so many levels. That sense of focusing on the craft and still caring deeply about it to this day,” she said.

She added: ‘We always call straight away. There’s no such thing as, “Wait a minute, I’ll call you tomorrow.” It’s immediate. And that’s actually something.’

Titanic was about a teenager from a wealthy family who builds a relationship with a working-class passenger during the passenger ship’s tragic journey.

In addition to Kate and Leonardo, the film also starred artists such as Billy Zane, Kathy Bates and Bill Paxton.

The feature film became an instant hit with critics and currently has an 88% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Titanic also grossed almost $2 billion during its initial release period, although it has since surpassed that mark after being re-released several times.

The film also had the distinction of being the highest-grossing film of all time for several years, although it was eventually passed by the 2009 science fiction film Avatar, which was also directed by Cameron.

Titanic was nominated for a total of 14 Academy Awards and won 11, including Best Picture.
