Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant was booed Tuesday night as he returned to NBA action.
Morant took the field for the first time this season when the Grizzlies took on the Pelicans in New Orleans. Without him at the helm, Memphis is currently 6-19 and 13th in the Western Conference.
But he received an angry reaction from the crowd in Louisiana and was immediately jeered when he picked up the ball.
Morant was fouled early in the first quarter and received a deafening cheer as he stepped to the free-throw line.
Morant was suspended after a repeated offense of flashing firearms on Instagram live. The second incident occurred on May 14 following a March 4 video that went live after a game in Denver.
