J.D. Vance is left with egg on his face after observers spot very embarrassing detail during supermarket campaign stop

A new clip of JD Vance complaining about egg prices during a campaign visit to a supermarket has some claiming he is twisting his facts.

Vance appeared at a grocery store in Reading, Pennsylvania earlier this weekend as he tried to market the state for himself and Donald Trump in November.

As Vance surveyed the market with his two children, he walked over to the egg section and used it as an example of inflation driving up prices to Kamala Harris and Joe Biden.

“If you look at the prices here, things are way overpriced and they’re way overpriced because of Kamala Harris’ policies,” he said.

His son interrupted him and appeared to point to the egg cartons behind him.

“Yeah, buddy. You want some eggs? Let’s talk about eggs. ‘Cause these guys basically eat like 14 eggs every morning,” Vance said, pointing to the boys.

While surveying the market with his two children, Vance walked over to the egg section and used it as an example of the inflation that drives up prices for Kamala Harris and Joe Biden

He then tried to turn the screws on Harris: “When Kamala Harris took office, eggs were less than $1.50 a dozen. Now a dozen eggs will cost you about $4,” he claimed.

“Thanks to Kamala Harris’ inflationary policies, Pennsylvania has seen some of the highest grocery price increases in the country, and again, that’s because she cast the deciding vote on the inflation-blasting bill,” Vance said, according to Maher’s reporting, Vance added.

However, some observant viewers noticed in the clip that Vance stood behind the evidence that his own inflation claims were false.

They pointed out that there were several cartons of a dozen eggs on sale at the market for $2.99.

However, Vance is technically correct about the price of eggs in Pennsylvania, which averages about $4.52, according to SoFi Learningreferring to the consumer price index.

However, the Internet pointed out the hypocrisy in the video and attacked the Ohio senator.

He is such a [liar]! This was the price behind him WHILE HE WAS LYING DOWN! $2.99/dozen,’ one social media user wrote.

“They did all that and then forgot to remove the price tags from the eggs. Then they made a video of him lying about the price of the eggs,” wrote another.

In his piece on the economy, the vice presidential candidate shared his experience from earlier in the day, when he was walking through a Pennsylvania supermarket and noticed the “way too high” prices

However, some astute viewers saw in the clip that Vance was standing behind the evidence that his own inflation claims were inflated. They pointed out that several cartons of a dozen eggs were on sale at the market for $2.99.

“We are lucky that they are so incompetent.”

Vance expanded on that sentiment, adding that “the price of ground beef dropped from just under $4 a pound to $6 a pound because Harris had the tie-breaking vote” on what he called the “Inflation Explosion Act.”

“She says she’s going to tackle the affordability crisis facing American families from day one.”

Vance added: “Kamala, Day 1 was 1,400 days ago. What have you been doing all this time? Stop talking about what you’re going to do and go out and do it.”

The US inflation rate was 2.5 percent at the end of August 2024, the lowest level since February 2021. the morning call defeated.

Eggs aside, Vance had a good campaign weekend. His meeting with Tucker Carlson was a huge success. However, the thousands in attendance experienced huge delays because there were only eight metal detectors to screen 6,000 people.

Saturday’s event in Hershey, Pennsylvania, drew a capacity crowd, which listened to the former Fox News host and Republican vice presidential candidate as he spoke about the 2024 election and the state of modern America.

But the 8 p.m. event at the city’s Giant Center didn’t start until 10 p.m. due to security delays following two assassination attempts on Donald Trump last summer.

Many guests praised the show itself. The broadcast media was only allowed to film the first few minutes of the event.

Vance stressed that the polls were skewed in favor of liberals and criticized modern American lawmakers for being out of touch with ordinary citizens.

During the conversation, the two laughed at each other and poked fun at their career paths, agreeing that they “don’t even know what they do for a living right now.”

Vance then called Americans “paupers in their own country” and blamed the current administration for high interest rates, which made it “far too expensive” to own real estate.

The U.S. senator from Ohio also claimed that the polls are misleading. He pointed to an inconsistency in Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign polls, which predicted the former president would lose Wisconsin by 17 points, a state he later won.

According to Vance, it’s not just grocery prices that are too high, “everything is more expensive and people can’t get their basic needs met because of Harris’ policies.”

Vance also blamed Biden and Harris’ border policies for drug trafficking from Mexico.

Carlson’s visit is part of a nationwide tour featuring conservative guests including Donald Trump Jr., Glenn Beck and Marjorie Taylor Greene.
