I’ve found the ideal dress to wear for an outdoor spring wedding, but some people say it’s not appropriate
Finding the perfect dress to wear to a loved one’s wedding can be a difficult task.
And one woman has revealed how she faced a dilemma about whether or not to wear a pink floral dress to a friend’s big day.
Posting on Reddit’s Wedding Attire Approval page, social media user @glooloop shared a photo of the vibrant ASOS dress and wrote, “Texas outdoor wedding with spring cocktail dress?”
The £45 slip dress, which is from Topshop, has a bright floral design in pink and orange and a high slit to the thigh of the garment.
However, other users questioned whether it was appropriate to wear someone’s wedding.

One person wrote, ‘What’s the material? If it’s too silky or satiny, it might not breathe well and be very sweaty.”
Others disagreed, saying they would support the wedding guest wearing the dress to the event.
One commented, “Good choice, but not with those shoes.”
Another wrote: ‘Very nice and appropriate!’
A third added: “I think it’s perfect, but definitely not with those shoes.”
Another was also enthusiastic about the option, writing: ‘Good choice!’
It comes after another woman took to social media asking if a fitted baby pink dress was more appropriate for a church pew or the bedroom.
The poster, reportedly from the US, invited feedback on a shimmering, flowy dress she hopes to wear to a “semi-informal/formal” wedding in the spring.
Retailer Altard State’s slip-on piece, which she shared a photo of in a Reddit post, promises a “comfortable and breathable fit” and costs $50.99.
But few turned out to be thrilled with the dress, some claiming it looked like “lingerie,” while others thought it was “too casual.”

“I don’t know what semi-casual/formal means, but this dress seems very short for a wedding,” one of them said.
“A good rule of thumb is if you can’t bend over without showing something, it’s too short for a wedding.”
Others also admitted that the length was a bit sparse for their taste.
One person suggested going for something less dressed.
“It’s better to be a little overdressed than a little underdressed,” they warned.
Social media users were divided over whether or not the dress was appropriate to wear to a wedding – some saying it could be ‘super sweaty’
And this seems too casual.
‘I might try to get some clarity on the dress code, because casual and formal don’t really go together.
“If anything, would I go for cocktail attire?”
“Given the combination of length and fabric, this looks more like sleepwear,” a third added.
