A young woman is devastated after coming across a series of text messages between her boyfriend of four years and a woman who runs a bagel shop.
The 22-year-old woman was moved to tears by the flirty conversation that started when her 25-year-old boyfriend texted the woman, “HEYY, it’s your delivery person.”
The two talk cheekily about him getting a cheap haircut from the 32-year-old woman who is in the spotlight as a hairdresser.
It continues after he reveals he has a partner, despite both admitting they shouldn’t talk.
“My girlfriend is always with me,” he said.
The bagel baker said they couldn’t do the haircut at her house because “then nothing would happen” because her father was home and “feeling cranky.”
They then joked about someone having to ‘take action’ one day on delivery day.
“That’s why I’m following you to the basement,” he wrote.
A woman shared these text messages from her boyfriend with a woman he is supplying stock to
It seemed like we got along well with the delivery person and the bagel shop employee
They talked about having long-lasting attraction
And about the man who has a partner
“I was honestly hoping you would do something, but I didn’t think I could,” he said.
The man’s girlfriend was devastated and posted a series of text messages on Reddit asking for advice.
She then said she woke her partner crying into her hands – and he clicked that she had seen the messages, even though she said nothing was wrong.
He admitted to talking to the woman and said he “actually didn’t think anything would happen” between them – despite telling the older woman he couldn’t stop thinking about her and texting her regularly ‘and.
‘We live together. Just extended a lease. We have three animals together,” she shouted.
‘I helped him get off cocaine. Control his anger and drinking. I helped him become a ‘good’ man. All down in the dumps,” she added.
The cheating boyfriend admitted he had also been flirting with another woman “for about a year.”
He told her that “nothing happened,” but he kept thinking about being intimate with other people and was thinking about “seeing a therapist.”
But the young woman said she was “done” with the relationship, spurred on by support from strangers on Reddit.
They both admitted that they were strongly attracted to each other
The man said he wanted the woman to make the first move
“You are so much stronger than I think you realize,” one woman said, telling her to “leave with her head held high.”
“When it’s time to move, put a refrigerated bubble around you that he can’t penetrate…I suspect he’ll do everything he can to try to get you to stay; crying, screaming, begging, etc. Prepare yourself with a response like, ‘I understand this wasn’t what you wanted, but I need to be sensible here,’ and stick to it,” she added.
Others agreed.
“Leave him, he will do it again,” said one woman.
“Leave him alone, the only reason he hasn’t done something is because the other woman didn’t make the first move. They do that so they can always blame someone else,” says another.
Others had no time for any of the people involved in the messages.
“Get them fired, they shouldn’t be behaving like that in a work environment,” one woman said.
“People who regret something or really feel bad don’t do it for a year, they’re scum,” said another.
