I’ve been spat at in public because of my extreme body modifications
A body modification fanatic who had horns implanted in his head has revealed that people spat at him on the bus because of his appearance.
Remus, from Copenhagen, Denmark, who started his modification project when he was 14, said parents blindfold their children when he walks past them.
Now 25, she estimates she’s spent £3,500 on changes to her body, including tattoos and a split tongue, and while she likes her appearance, other people disagree with her appearance.
She added that her love life has been disrupted, with many potential suitors put off by her mods and tattoos.
However, despite his extreme appearance, Remus admits that there are some lengths he will never go to in pursuit of a modified body, claiming that he is “scared” by the prospect of cutting off limbs.
Remus, who says he draws inspiration from hardcore musicians, revealed: ‘I’ve been spat at while sitting on the bus minding my own business.
“People yell at me in the street and parents also cover their children’s eyes when I walk by.
“Online, I get comments telling me that I should die, that I’m broke, and that I’ll never get hired for a job.”
At home, Remus claimed that his family had also raised concerns about his appearance.
Remus, from Copenhagen in Denmark, has been modifying his body since he was 14 years old and has revealed that he was spat on while sitting on the bus.
As part of his body modification project, Remus (pictured) has had horns implanted on his forehead and huge stretchers on his earlobes.
Remus has been piercing himself since he was 14 years old and has gradually moved more into body modification.
The 25-year-old has said that sometimes his looks can make dating difficult, as people can be put off by his appearance.
Remus has revealed that sometimes people cover their children’s eyes when they walk past him on the street.
The body modification fan revealed that his family has raised concerns about the way his appearance has changed.
Some of Remus’ extreme modifications include a heavily inked body and a split tongue, as well as many piercings.
He said: ‘At first my family was very against it and we had a lot of arguments.
“I really didn’t care, and still don’t care, what my family thinks, since it’s my body, my decision.
They still don’t like my mods, but at this point they’ve stopped talking about it.
‘From time to time they ask me: ‘What are you going to do next time?’ And I don’t plan on stopping just because my family doesn’t like it.
“My friends accept it, since they see me for who I am and not my appearance, but I don’t have many friends who look like me.”
The body modification fanatic has recently revealed a new twist on his look in the form of sliced ear cartilage.
Then and now: Remus, pictured left as a teenager, got his first piercing when he was 14 and has been addicted ever since.
In addition to extreme body modification, Remus also experiments with hair color changes and different ear stretchers.
Remus has undergone gradual changes over the past decade, adding tattoos and piercings to his body as he goes along.
When it comes to his love life, Remus admitted that it can be hard to find a partner who likes his unconventional appearance.
For now, he is focusing on his ultimate goal and will continue to tweak for the foreseeable future, but he claims that invasive procedures are ‘illegal’ in his country.
He said: ‘I got all my body mods for free as it is illegal to do this in Denmark.
‘I’ve been going to a good friend [for these] and have been pierced around 50 times, mostly professionally by my previous colleagues, other piercers, and myself.
‘I think my favorite mod is the ear scalpel, as I really like my ‘orcish’ ears.
“My ear cartilage and earlobes have been through this six times in total because I thought my ears were boring.
“I wanted to shape them to look more brutal, so instead of going for a pinpoint procedure (elf ears), I wanted to remove parts of them.”
Now, he plans to get his eyeballs inked next, saying this will be the last modification for a few years.
Remus added: “I’ve run out of things I want to do, but I plan on tattooing the rest of my body and maybe adding a few piercings here and there.”
‘I don’t want to remove my nose or belly button, for example.
“Black eyes look a bit alien and intense to me, so I’ll go for a ‘sky effect’ with different types of grays.
“It’s one of the most extreme things you can do as far as body modification, so I’d like to add this to my collection.
“I’ve toyed with the idea of removing part of my ring finger, but I’ll probably never get around to it. Even that scares me a little.
