I’ve been looked down on for 40 years, says Countdown genius Carol Vorderman. That’s why I’m talking now…
She has a natural gift with numbers. But Countdown genius Carol Vorderman has now revealed another ‘superpower’, honed by ‘being slagged for 40 years’.
The 62-year-old says it allows her to ignore any personal criticism while embracing the role of anti-corruption activist.
She tells today’s You magazine: “When you get fake headlines about yourself, helicopters over your house, your kids followed by paparazzi, and every part of your life: my body, my face, my hair, my sweaty armpits, my cellulite: it has been abused for a very long period of time, one of two things happens.

Carol Vorderman, 61, told YOU magazine that she has been “scorned for 40 years.”
