Michelle Williams has revealed that she hasn’t worked since filming The Fablemans as she has been busy raising her children after the birth of her third child in November 2022.

The 42-year-old film and television star earned her fifth Academy Award nomination for Best Actress on Monday for her role in Steven Spielberg’s autobiographical film.

Speaking on Thursday’s Lorraine, the Hollywood star opened up about her little boy and how she cried when she was offered the part.

Mother: Michelle Williams has revealed that she hasn’t worked since filming The Fablemans because she’s been busy raising it after the birth of her third child in November 2022.

She said: ‘I haven’t worked since I made this movie and a part of me is still there.

‘I had a baby, so I’ve been busy with it.’

She shares her youngest son and son Hart, two, with her husband, theater director Thomas Kail.

Williams quietly confirmed her third pregnancy to Variety in an interview published on May 10 of last year and showed a bump in subsequent events.

Thomas and Michelle got engaged in 2019, following their collaboration on the FX miniseries Fosse/Verdon.

They married in 2020, and Michelle gave birth to Hart that year, though it wasn’t until May of last year that she finally revealed his name.

Also, while appearing in Lorraine, Michelle opened up about being offered the role in The Fablemans, where she plays a version of Spielberg’s mother, who helped foster his love of film and film since he was just a child.

She said: ‘I didn’t even say yes when it was offered to me, I just started working on it. I couldn’t even allow myself to imagine that he (Steven) wanted to work with me.

‘I wiped the tears from my eyes and work started right after the zoom call with him. I am still living in that moment.

“Working with him was more than I could have dreamed of, I was thrilled that it was such a great honor.”

She continued, “Acting is so meaningful, but the experience of working together couldn’t have imagined how joyful it is.”

Michelle gave birth to Hart at the height of the still-ongoing coronavirus pandemic, saying Hart’s birth was “a reminder that life goes on,” according to an interview with Variety from May 2022.

“The world we brought a baby into is not the world we thought we brought a baby into, but the baby ignores it. He experiences the absolute joy of discovery and the happiness of a loving home,” he said.

“There’s nothing that commits you to a better world than raising a great kid,” Williams added. ‘It is the ultimate creative act.’

In September last year, she was seen visibly pregnant in public, and DailyMail.com published photos in late October of the actress stepping out with her husband and their new baby for the first time after giving birth.

Until now, the actress has kept details about her most recent child, including his name, out of public view.

Michelle’s Best Actress nomination came two days after the 15th anniversary of her ex Heath Ledger’s death on January 22 at just 28 years old.

The couple became a couple in 2004 after starring in Brokeback Mountain together, and they welcomed daughter Matilda in October 2005.

But the couple separated in 2007, and Ledger was discovered unconscious in his bed on January 22, 2008.

Attempts to perform CPR after he stopped breathing were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead shortly after paramedics arrived. It was later determined that Ledger had died of an accidental overdose.

He was later honored with a posthumous Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his influential portrayal of the Joker in the Batman film The Dark Knight.

After Michelle’s Oscar nomination on Tuesday, her Dawson’s Creek co-stars Busy Philipps and Joshua Jackson congratulated her, though Katie Holmes was curiously absent from the well wishes.

The Fabelmans also feature the dissolution of their parents’ marriage, as Michelle’s character begins an affair with her husband’s (Paul Dano) best friend (Seth Rogen).
