Ivana Trump’s opulent Upper East Side townhouse where she was found dead at the bottom of the staircase is back on the market at slashed down price of $20million two years after she died

More than two years after Ivana Trump’s death, her luxury New York City mansion remains unsold — despite $7 million in cuts since it was first listed.

The property, located in Manhattan’s upscale Lennox Hill neighborhood, was first listed in November 2022, four months after the 73-year-old businesswoman was found dead at the bottom of her stairs on July 14, 2022.

Ivana Trump, who was married to Donald Trump from 1977 to 1992, moved into the six-story mansion shortly after their divorce in the early 1990s.

The property has remained largely unchanged since Ivana renovated it at that time, retaining its opulent, vintage charm.

Originally priced at $26.5 million, the mansion’s price was reduced by $4 million to $22.5 million in September 2023, before being taken off the market a month later.

In June 2024, the house was relisted by Adam D. Modlin at the Modlin group for $19.5 million, which represents a total reduction of $7 million from the original asking price.

Despite its luxurious amenities and desirable location, interest appears to have remained lukewarm and the house has failed to attract a buyer, even at its reduced price.

The mansion features five bedrooms, five bathrooms and an array of lavish design elements, with an enclosed elevator and a grand curved staircase connecting each floor.

Notable features include a crystal chandelier, silk wallpaper and a gold-embossed fireplace in the second-floor living room.

The Versailles-inspired dining room is adorned with enormous windows overlooking a private courtyard.

The spacious primary suite on the third floor spans the entire floor and has three French doors leading to a private terrace.

The private bathroom features pink onyx marble, a double sink and a large bathtub.

Adjacent to the bedroom is a stylish office with leopard print furniture, an onyx fireplace with gold details and a walk-in closet.

Other property highlights include rooms with views of the stately homes on 64th Street, a media room and a sauna.

The mansion is jointly listed by J. Roger Erickson of Douglas Elliman and Adam D. Modlin of Modlin Group.

Ivana Trump died after a tragic fall at her residence, with the New York City Medical Examiner’s Office confirming she suffered blunt force injuries to her torso. Her death was ruled an accident.

Ivana had become increasingly vulnerable during more than two years of isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic, friends say, and the socialite’s closest confidant Nikki Haskell said she feared an accident on the stairs.

‘I have to tell you something, that has always been my fear. She had one of those really beautiful stairs that was impossible to walk down,” Haskell said Extra in July 2022.

‘Narrow inside and wider as it came out. I was always afraid she would fall. I don’t know what happened, but it’s not hard for me to believe that this is what happened: treacherous kicks,” Haskell added.

Ivana’s funeral Mass, held in New York City, was attended by her ex-husband Donald Trump and their three children: Donald Jr., 46; Ivanka, 43, and Eric, 40.

The service honored her with a display of 73 candles, each representing a year of her life.

Ivana was buried in a private plot at the Trump National Golf Course in Bedminster, New Jersey, where the family, including the president-elect, regularly spend time.

It comes after Ivanka Trump paid tribute to her late mother Ivana on what would have been the socialite’s 75th birthday in February last year.

The former first daughter took to Instagram with a selection of sweet snaps of Ivana, stating that her family “navigates through life with the compass of her love and fearless spirit.”
