‘It’s Piggly Squat!’ Jeremy Clarkson can’t hide his delight as he welcomes arrival of pigs to his farm in new Amazon series – after he was left ‘visibly upset’ when ‘pet’ cow Pepper was taken to the abattoir
- A herd of pigs promises to be a highlight of Clarkson’s Farm’s new Prime series
- But low points in livestock farming, including the tragic piglet mortality, will also be discussed
The pigs seem happy to be there – and Jeremy Clarkson is just as happy to welcome them to his farm.
Jeremy is thrilled with the newcomers to Diddly Squat, who immediately run through their field after being released from their trailer, these images show.
The clip, from the upcoming third series of Clarkson’s Farm on Amazon Prime, shows the efforts the journalist and his helpers are making to help the business grow.
He’s quick to dub the 10-strong flock ‘Piggly Squat’, while girlfriend Lisa Hogan is left ‘besides herself’ at the cuteness overload as they forage for potatoes.

As excitement about the new series grows, it has also emerged that Jeremy allows his beloved cow Pepper to be sent to a slaughterhouse.
He took a look at the animal in Clarkson’s Farm 2, after talking to a young daughter of a cattle farmer
He said, ‘This is my pet. Five-year-old Rosie, from the farm where we bought her, said this cow was her favorite.
“She asked, ‘Will you babysit Pepper for me?’ So I said I would do it.”
However, later in the series, a veterinarian discovered that Pepper was not pregnant, and someone suggested that she should be sent for meat.
Jeremy snapped back at the time, “I don’t eat Pepper, and that’s the end of it.”
But after changing his mind, he apparently allows Pepper to be taken to slaughter.
He notices: ‘I feel really sad today. Pepper goes of course. What do you think will become of her?’
