Jamie Vardy was pictured drinking champagne on the pitch as Leicester celebrated their return to the Premier League.

The 37-year-old was as influential as ever in his twelfth season at the King Power Stadium. He scored 18 times as Enzo Maresca’s side survived a mid-season slump to become champions.

Never one to shy away from a party, Vardy has been in full party mode since the Foxes secured an automatic return to the top flight.

After scoring twice in a 3-0 win over Preston at Deepdale on Monday, the former England international was photographed enjoying the spoils of his success with his teammates in one of their homes.

Although the champions lost 2-0 to Blackburn on the final day of the season, the celebrations for the Foxes faithful were as raucous as ever after the final whistle.

In a clip shared on TikTok, Vardy could be seen taking a stiff sip of champagne on the pitch as the group honored their achievement.

However, the vintage was clearly not entirely to his taste, as he visibly recoiled after swallowing and poured the rest of the bottle onto the pitch.

Vardy recently detailed his unconventional pre-match diet, revealing that he still chooses to consume a significant amount of caffeine from a variety of sources before matches.

“I wake up in the morning and then [have a] Red Bull,” he told Sky Sports.

‘I literally get out of bed, get the kids up and down, sort out breakfast and then I go straight into the Red Bull.

‘Then we meet at the stadium before the match and while I’m changing I have a cup of coffee – it’s better than taking ProPlus. Red Bull, coffee and when we are in the pre-match lounge, I eat my cheese and ham omelette with another can of Red Bull.

Despite once again playing a key role in his side’s success, Vardy’s future at the club remains uncertain ahead of their return to the Premier League.

Mail Sport understands that both the player and the club are interested in a one-year extension to his current contract, which expires at the end of next month.

The former England international has been in good form this season, scoring 18 goals from 35 appearances in the Championship, helping Leicester regain promotion to the top flight.

While another double-figure goal streak for the Foxes in the top flight would further cement his status as a club legend, speculation continues to link him with a move away from the East Midlands.

Reports earlier this week suggested Wrexham could move to the Premier League winners after securing promotion to League One under Phil Parkinson.
