It’s not a Switch 2, but a Nintendo device that just got approved by this US regulatory body

As we all await a final reveal of the Nintendo Switch 2The company appears to be working on yet another device. A new wireless device made by Nintendo is spotted making its way through the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the United States.

And no, it’s not the Nintendo Switch 2, as the device is simply tagged as a “wireless device” and the word console isn’t mentioned. It does have a similar identifier – CLO-001 -, though, ending in 001, which is similar to the Nintendo Switch (HAC-001), Switch OLED (HEG-001), and Switch Lite (HDH-001).

Thanks to a diagram that shows where the model number and the FCC label will appear, we know that this gadget will take the form of a rounded square with a cutout with this information on the back. Inside, it lacks a battery and a load of connectivity, since it only has a 24GHz mmWave sensor and a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi antenna. It also has no battery, which means it will have to be connected via the USB-C port.

However, more questions than answers remain beyond a diagram showing where the FCC identification is placed: as a notch in the plastic of a square device. TheVerge Notes that the mmWave sensor on board “could be a radar sensor to track movements,” meaning it could be more of a peripheral.
