It’s alive! Hilarious moment when cat walks out of the claw machine where man had won a plush animal
- Brazilian businessman Rider Soares was trying to get a plush elephant out of a machine when a cat crawled out
- Soares and his wife stopped at a rest area to rest and eat when he noticed there was a claw machine and decided to try his luck
- Soares won the elephant hug, and as he waited for the toy to fall, the gas station’s cat surprised the couple before picking him up and hugging him.
A real cat was certainly not what one man hoped to gain when he tried his luck grabbing a stuffed animal from a claw machine at a gas station in western Brazil’s Mato Grosso do Sul state.
Rider Soares, 30, and his wife were on their way to visit relatives in the town of Bonito when they stopped at a rest area in Niaoque township.
After eating and relaxing, the Brazilian businessman set his eyes on the machine and on his first attempt he managed to hook an elephant.
As his wife cheered him on and shot the eventful scene as he waited for his new prize to drop into the pick-up slot, a cat slowly crawled out of the machine to their amusement.

The feline was the last thing the couple expected.
“We laughed a lot because it was so surreal,” Soares told The Dodo.
Soares, a huge fan of animals, can be seen reaching for and picking up the furry cat.
“He was so cute!” he said.
Rider Soares said he and his wife had stopped to eat and rest at a roadside gas station when he saw a stuffed animal machine. He put in a few coins before winning plush elephant and was surprised to see a real cat crawling out of the machine
Soares said he wanted to adopt the cat but was saddened he couldn’t because it was the gas station owner’s pet
Aside from leaving the gas station with his prize, Soares’s desire to walk out with the cat was dashed when he learned that the animal was going to rest for a while.
His new friend “was the best thing” he ever picked up from the claw machine.
“Who could imagine getting a real stuffed animal in such a machine?” he said.
