‘It’s a middle finger to Congress’: Megyn Kelly slams Hunter Biden for ‘sauntering’ into committee hearing as lawmakers discussed holding him in contempt for refusing to appear under subpoena

Megyn Kelly has called out Hunter Biden for his shocking performance in Congress, where Republicans threatened to hold him in contempt.

Former Fox News host Kelly, 53, labeled Hunter’s move as a “huge middle finger to everyone.”

“The first son and his lawyers stroll in and say, ‘Hey, we deserve to be here,’” she said Wednesday on her SiriusXM podcast, The Megyn Kelly Show.

The president’s troubled son, 53, pulled off the stunt as he listened as Republican Rep. Nancy Mace said he “had no b***s” and “should be in jail” for refusing to go behind bars doors to make a statement.

He then stood up and walked out after about 17 minutes when Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene began questioning him about his business deals and the ongoing impeachment inquiry into his father, Joe Biden.

Kelly discussed the chaos that erupted in Congress when Hunter announced himself.

“A short time ago, Hunter Biden showed up unannounced on Capitol Hill and crashed a House committee hearing on his contempt of Congress,” she said.

“They waved their chance to appear at the summons they wanted to take from him.

She added, “South Carolina Republican Nancy Mace called him out and was rightly called out herself.

“Woah, I’ve never heard anyone scream balls at a congressional hearing before. I think it’s a first.

“Just when you thought it couldn’t get any wilder, Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia started talking and Hunter got up and just kept walking.”

Kelly further criticized Hunter for the stunt, claiming he could get away with it because he is a Biden.

“You see, if you’re a Biden, you can decide when you appear before Congress and when you don’t. It’s up to you, even if you have a subpoena,” she said.

“Even though Trump is currently being prosecuted by Jack Smith for defying a subpoena.

“But if you’re Hunter Biden, that’s fine, and even if they hold the hearing and figure out whether you should be prosecuted for refusing your subpoena, you can just wander in and out at your leisure. It’s great to be Biden.”

Hunter faced a barrage of questions from reporters after he left the hearing – including asking “what kind of crack he smokes and why he put his father Joe on speakerphone more than 20 times to talk to his business friends.”

He was also asked if he was using crack while crashing the GOP hearing.

“What kind of crack do you normally smoke, Mr. Biden?” shouted a reporter — whom he ignored — as his attorney Abbe Lowell issued a brief statement condemning Republicans and claiming Hunter is willing to testify publicly.

“What’s your favorite kind of crack?” asked another reporter.

Hunter caused a circus as cameras and reporters surrounded him for the very brief appearance amid the scandal over his shady foreign affairs deals.

Last week it was revealed that Hunter is filming a top-secret documentary to set the record straight about his battle with crack cocaine addiction and his financial problems.

Republicans began ripping Hunter for the “made-for-TV publicity stunt.”

House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith, R-Mo., wrote of These terms are non-negotiable.”

GOP Whip Tom Emmer said “another day, another ridiculous PR stunt from Hunter Biden.”

“If this is the Biden family’s strategy to distract the American people from their disturbing pattern of corruption, it is futile.”

Hunter walked into the committee hearing room with his attorneys Abbe Lowell and Kevin Morris and took a seat in the front row, silently taking in the chaos that then unfolded before him as lawmakers grappled with the remarkable turn of events.

The top Democrat on the committee, Jamie Raskin, seemed aware that the president’s son would disrupt proceedings with his shocking entrance.

“Who bribed Hunter Biden to be here today?” asked Rep. Nancy Mace, RS.C. “You are the epitome of white privilege coming into the Oversight Committee, spitting in our faces, and ignoring a congressional subpoena to be impeached.”

“You don’t have any b***s to come here,” she spat. “I think Hunter Biden should be arrested here and now,” Mace continued. ‘I’m looking at you!’

“I believe that Hunter Biden should be completely despised. I think he should be taken to prison right now!’ the excited Republican congresswoman noted.

Democrat Jared Moskowitz — who also appeared to be aware of the stunt — asked for a show of hands from lawmakers who wanted to hear from Hunter as he stood before them.

He put Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., on the spot, challenging him to question Hunter since he came to the public hearing and threatening to make the contempt vote “bipartisan.”

“Listen, I’m going to make this twofold. I’m voting for Hunter contempt today. You can get my vote. You can have my vote, but I want you to show the American people that you mean business.” Moskowitz taunted before filing subpoenas for Republicans who did not comply with the Commission’s Jan. 6 requests for testimony.

Hunter then stormed out of the hearing room after Moskowitz’s comments, immediately after Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., began speaking less than 30 minutes into the hearing.

“I think it’s clear and obvious to anyone watching this hearing today that Hunter Biden is terrified of strong conservative Republican women because he can’t even face my words when I was about to talk to him,” Greene said.

“What a coward,” she exclaimed.

Two top GOP-led committees are preparing to vote to hold Hunter in contempt of Congress after he defied a congressional subpoena for closed-door testimony.

Republicans say his “obstruction” of their impeachment inquiry has forced them to take the president’s son to court to force his cooperation — or face a year in prison.

Hunter defied a subpoena last month that required him to make a closed-door deposition as part of the GOP impeachment inquiry into whether President Joe Biden was connected to or benefited from his son’s shady business deals.

Instead of standing up for the required testimony, Hunter appeared outside the Capitol to deliver a dramatic tirade criticizing “shameless” Republicans while saying he would only testify in a public forum.
