ITC Q2 profit rises 10.3% to Rs 4,927 crore, misses estimates as costs rise

The tobacco-to-hotel conglomerate’s profit rose to Rs 4,927 crore for the three months ended September 30 from Rs 4,466 crore a year earlier, the report said.

ITC on Thursday reported a smaller-than-expected rise in second-quarter profit as higher costs offset strong demand for cigarettes and consumer goods.

Analysts on average had expected a profit of Rs 4,954 crore, according to LSEG data.
