A jilted Italian man is said to have stalked his ex-wife by disguising himself as a ghost and throwing stones at her home.
The unnamed man, 48, was captured on camera in Lecce, in the southern region of Apulia, wearing a white sheet as he ran to his ex-partner’s house.
Footage shows him throwing a rock at her window, which can be heard bouncing off the building before hitting the sidewalk as he runs away.
Local media reported that the man was subject to a restraining order and was fitted with an anti-stalking device.
The Carabinieri later discovered that he had approached his victim eight times in one day despite the device.

The man’s behavior had reportedly been going on for some time and his ex had both reported him to the police and publicly denounced him.
The images were shared online by the victim’s daughter, also unnamed.
She said: ‘Stalked, threatened, slandered, slandered, deprived of her liberty, because of a relationship that ended at one end.’
The young woman also added: “Justice is slow, there is little evidence of anything happening, but I am not losing hope.”
The man, who lives in Gallipoli, was arrested a few hours later on charges of stalking before being placed under house arrest.
He is also now reportedly equipped with an electronic bracelet on top of the anti-stalking device.
