It really must be love, actually for Thomas Brodie-Sangster after the newly engaged actor bravely attempted to kick fiancée Talulah Riley across the River Ouse.
The actor, best known for appearing as a youth in the Richard Curtis-directed film, was spotted trying his hand at his free time during a gig in Cambridge on Monday.
Thomas, 33, had his striped shirtsleeves rolled up to the elbow as he gingerly propelled their flat-bottomed boat along the famous waterway from its precarious spot on the square bow.
Meanwhile, Talulah, 37, kicked off her shoes and relaxed with two friends as the picturesque Cambridgeshire countryside rolled by.
On a warm day, the couple – who announced their engagement in July – wore matching wide-brimmed hats as they journeyed up the river.

Talulah was previously married to billionaire Twitter CEO Elon Musk – not just once, but on two separate occasions.
Not without a hint of irony, she and Thomas — whose other acting roles include Game Of Thrones, Wolf Hall, and punk biopic Pistol — confirmed their engagement on July 27 via Musk’s Twitter platform.
Alongside a photo of herself and Thomas, she wrote, “Very happy to share that Thomas Brodie Sangster and I are engaged after two years of dating.”
The happy couple, who live in a heritage-listed country house, enjoyed a night out in London on Wednesday, where the actress was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her wedding finger.
They were seen arm in arm as they left the Chiltern Firehouse celebrity residence with their cocker spaniel.
Talulah looked effortlessly chic in an all-black outfit, while Thomas showed off his eclectic sense of style in a silk shirt, cream trousers and suede boots.
The actor rose to fame when he was just 13 in the romantic comedy film Love Actually, playing Liam Neeson’s young son Sam in love.
The pair went public with their romance at the BAFTAs last March.

Their romance started when the Maze Runner actor starred alongside Talulah in Danny Boyle’s Sex Pistols drama, Pistol.
Their relationship went unnoticed until The Mail on Sunday learned that Talulah’s previous romance with Matthew Rice had come to an abrupt end.
She and Matthew had been quietly seeing each other in the wake of his 2018 divorce from ceramics designer Emma Bridgewater, to whom he had been married for 30 years.
“Talulah and Matthew were on-off for a long time, but it seems the romance has been pushed aside to make way for Thomas,” a source said at the time.
“Talulah dated Matthew until spring, and he’s still a little shocked and sad that it all ended between them.”
According to one source, Thomas and Talulah bought “a heritage-listed mansion in the countryside” together.
Previously: Talulah married £180 billionaire PayPal and Tesla tycoon Elon in 2010. They divorced two years later, remarried in 2013 and split again in 2016 (pictured in 2014)

At the time, Elon said, “We broke up for several months to see if being away made hearts grow fonder, and unfortunately it didn’t.”
Thomas, meanwhile, dated My Parents Are Aliens actress Isabella Melling for a few years and dated musician Gzi Wisdom for two years before finding love with Talulah.
In addition to Love Actually, Thomas has also enjoyed film success in Nanny McPhee, Nowhere Boy – in which he played a young Paul McCartney – and Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.
Elsewhere, Thomas won a new legion of fans thanks to his recurring role as Jojen Reed on the hugely popular HBO drama Game Of Thrones and also The Queen’s Gambit.
