If you're looking forward to it Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, then it looks like you won't be disappointed with the game's estimated running time.
A recent one Game Informer interview with developer Ubisoft Montpellier has revealed that Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is estimated at “a 25 hour game”. We already know that the game will take players to various visually interesting locations and pit them against terrifyingly large bosses. Well, that seems to be it The lost crown turns out to be a pretty well-developed adventure with a pretty long running time.
Ubisoft doesn't go into details here when it comes to what players will do during those 25 hours of playtime. For example, we don't know if that number refers to the completion of just the main game, or if it includes all side content, additional collectibles, and optional objectives and areas.
Regardless, this 25-hour length isn't unusual in the Metroidvania subgenre. Statistics from HowLongtoBeat shows Hollow Knight it will take players approximately 27 hours to complete the critical path, and up to 63 hours for 100% completion. In the meantime, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a mite that is more manageableclocking in at 14 hours for main story progression and around 35 hours for a fully complete save file.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown launches on January 18 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PC, Amazon Luna and last-generation consoles. An official demo will be made available on digital stores on January 11 for those who want to get a taste of the action, a week before launch.
