It looks like it was once ALIVE! Student baffled by ‘disgusting’ object on the pavement… can YOU tell what it is?
- EXCLUSIVE: The strangely shaped tube stunned everyone who came into contact with it
A PhD student’s horrific discovery at the side of a pavement at the University of Hull has divided opinion… because no one can figure out what it actually is.
Russell Gilbert, 41, made the discovery last week while walking to one of his professional wrestling promotional seminars.
The strangely colored tube is about six inches long and feels slimy.
It appears to be wrinkled and twisted, either by design or nature, and does not release any odor, he told MailOnline.
Russell said: ‘It looked disgusting. I’m going to be on the nice side and say: it might be a Coca Cola lollipop with melted ice cream.’
The crumpled find had irritated Russell, as neither he nor his friends had any idea what it could be
‘But someone noticed that there was a spring on it and it looked like a body part.
“Well, not human body-like, but some kind of body tissue.
“Essentially, it looks like something that could once have been alive.”
Russell left the discovery on the ground because he didn’t want to risk touching it
Russell was so perplexed and revolted by the discovery that he immediately took to Facebook to debate the nature of his meaty prize with his friends.
Russell continued, “I put it on my Facebook page and just asked, what do people think this is.
“And there were a lot of different suggestions.”
First there was the sensible thing.
“Could it be a chewed strip of rawhide left behind by a dog?” said one.
‘It looks like part of a snake to me. Think the feathers come from the birds that feast on them,” said another.
Other people were less constructive with their feedback, saying it looked like a ‘dog ate a condom’.
Another said the depressing bit of material resembled “the remnants of their childhood ambitions.”
One said rather grotesquely: ‘Twisted and slightly melted Coke ice cream? That or a very ugly penis!’
