Istant Karma for on-the-run murder suspect who fell through his ceiling hiding place after cops tracked him down to a Memphis home
A murder suspect who had been on the run for months has been captured in Memphis, Tennessee, after he fell through the ceiling from his hiding place in a family’s attic.
In April, an arrest warrant was issued for 20-year-old Deario Wilkerson in connection with the death of Troy Cunningham in Memphis.
He evaded the police for months, but eventually officers managed to track him down at a relative’s home.
When officers entered the home, Wilkerson tried to hide in the attic. But according to the New York Times, officers heard “loud noises coming from the house” followed by a “loud crash.”
Photos shared by officers showed a large gaping hole in the ceiling, with pieces of plaster and dust on the floor.

“Mr. Wilkerson was not injured in the fall and was arrested without further incident,” the Marshals Service said of the arrest, which lasted less than 10 minutes.
He is now being held in the Shelby County Jail on $6 million bail.
Wilkerson is one of three people charged in the shooting death of Cunningham, who was found dead April 2 in the city’s Hollywood neighborhood.
According to a local prosecutor, officers investigating an incident in the area heard multiple shots and found Cunningham on the sidewalk near Peres and Merton Streets with a fatal gunshot wound to the back of his head.
In addition, the car in which two women were sitting was hit by bullets, one of them suffering a gunshot wound to her shoulder.
The alleged killer was charged with first-degree murder.
