Hamas terrorists kidnapped an Australian man’s two grandsons and daughter-in-law while murdering his son’s girlfriend in cold blood during Saturday’s bloody attack in Israel.

Mother-of-two Adi Kaplon, who is the daughter-in-law of Australian man Yonadav, is believed to be among hundreds captured by the insurgents after they poured into southern Israel.

Family friend Moses Ben-Giat told him The Australian Kaplon newspaper’s teenage son was used as a ‘human shield’ by gunmen who have taken hostages again in the Gaza Strip.

Ben-Giat said Yonadav’s two sons and their families live in the village of Kibbutz Holit, which is just two kilometers from the Gaza border.

Young mother-of-two Adi Kaplon, who is the bride of an Australian, has reportedly been kidnapped by Hamas fighters.

At the time of the surprise attack, Yonadav’s sons were in a neighboring kibbutz, where they were caught by Hamas gunfire.

Meanwhile in Holit, Mrs. Kaplon barricaded herself and her four-month-old and four-year-old sons inside the family home.

The terrified mother texted neighbor Avital Aladjem as they desperately hid from armed robbers who were shooting anyone who resisted.

“Adi tried to stay as long as he could,” Ben-Giat said.

He reported that Hamas fighters threw a grenade into the living room of Ms. Kaplon’s home, blowing open the front door.

Then they attacked the house and dragged Mrs. Kaplon and her sons.

Ben-Giat said ruthless Hamas insurgents had earlier attacked Yonadav’s youngest son’s home and killed his girlfriend while she slept.

“Her body is still there, on the bed, we can’t reach her yet,” Mr Ben-Giat said.

A family friend said Ms Kaplan had tried desperately to hide in a shelter even as terrorists threw a grenade into the family home, blowing open the front door.

The attack on the kibbutz began around 6 am, but Hamas fighters were only able to breach the cordon around Holi later in the morning.

Ben-Giat said the brutal attack was launched by 50 trucks, each carrying between four and five terrorists, who were ‘heavily armed with RPGs, M16s and machine guns’.

After entering the kibbutz, the gunmen methodically went from house to house killing or kidnapping the residents.

“They were not hit by a bomb, they were killed one by one,” Mr Ben-Giat said.

Ben-Giat said he was acting as the family’s spokesman because Yonadav was too distraught to talk about what had happened.

In a terrifying new development, Hamas’ armed wing said on Monday evening that it would begin executing an Israeli civilian prisoner for any new Israeli bombing of civilian homes without prior warning.

“We have decided to put an end to this and as of now, we declare that any targeting of our people in their homes without prior warning will be regretfully met with the execution of one of the civilian hostages we are holding,” Abu Obaida. , the Al-Qassam Brigades spokesman said in a recording released to Al Jazeera.

The group has abducted at least 100 people, including women and children, since the clashes began on Saturday.
