Israel Adesanya gave an extraordinary post-right interview on Saturday after regaining his UFC middleweight title against Alex Pereira.
‘The Last Stylebender’ produced a brutal second-round knockout to seal a victory over the Brazilian fighter and take back the title he lost in November last year.
It was the fourth time the two middleweights had met, their second in the octagon, and it was Adesanya’s first time coming out on top.
He gave an inspiring speech to fans after the result, taking the microphone and saying, “I hope that behind the scenes each of you can feel this level of happiness just once in your life.
But guess what: you’re never going to feel this level of happiness if you don’t go for something.

‘The Last Stylebender’ won by knockout in the second round after losing the title to Pereira in his last fight
Adesanya urged his fans to “go for something” to achieve “this level of happiness.”
“If they talk about you, if they put a foot on your neck, and if you stay down, you’ll never get that result.”
Adesanya had lost his title to Pereira in his previous fight in November, but took it back in style after just five minutes.
He continued, “Strengthen your mind and feel this level of happiness once in a lifetime, but I’m blessed to be able to feel this s*** again and again and again.”
Despite a bitter rivalry that has seen the two fighters clash four times in UFC and kickboxing, Adesanya was gracious to Pereira after the fight, adding:Whatever happens, Alex is a great champion, he lost the belt tonight, but he will always be a champion.
‘In his story I am the opponent. I’m the bad guy, but tonight it’s my story. The hunter has become the hunted.
“Thank you for beating me, beating me has made me a better fighter.”
