Franky Venegas of the Island Boys posed as his twin brother Alex when he was arrested in Fort Lauderdale, Florida last month on charges of reckless driving.
The police say this in documents reviewed by TMZ that Franky, 22, was speeding on May 24 behind the wheel of a yellow Corvette Stingray.
Police said they saw Franky pull into a parking lot and received a report that his vehicle and the occupants of a nearby gray vehicle were “armed with guns,” the outlet reported.
Police said they responded by turning on their emergency lights and swarming in, then made contact with Franky.
Franky told officers his name was Alex, police said, adding that they determined he was dishonest when they saw his ID and conducted a background check with further details.
