Terrorist group Islamic State has threatened to launch an attack on the four stadiums hosting the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals.

The Al Azaim Foundation, a media outlet responsible for spreading Islamic State (Daesh, ISIS) messages, confirmed their intentions with a poster on Monday morning.

The foundation shared an image threatening to attack the Parc des Princes, the Santiago Bernabeu, the Metropolitan and the Emirates Stadium, with the message: ‘Kill them all’.

The threat came shortly after ISIS-affiliated media outlet Sarh al-Khilafah announced their plan to attack fans who were at the Allianz Arena in Munich to watch the match between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

The Champions League matches taking place at the Parc des Princes, Santiago Bernabeu, Metropolitan and the Emirates Stadium will take place this week.

According to ASthe Spanish government this week activated its security procedures for the Champions League doubles match.

It is believed that more than 3,000 security officers have been assigned to the matches in Spain: Real Madrid versus Manchester City and Atletico versus Borussia Dortmund.

It is also believed that more than 8,000 fans of Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund will travel to Spain for the matches taking place on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.

Islamic State’s latest attack took place on March 22 on the Crocus City Hall, a major concert hall in Moscow.

Several men stormed the building dressed in camouflage and killed 143 people. They injured another 200 people.
