Aussie actress Isla Fisher lists luxury Sydney pad for $1M almost 30 years after purchasing it for $171,500 – amid divorce from Sacha Baron Cohen

Isla Fisher has put her Woollahra apartment up for sale, almost 30 years after she bought it in 1995 when she starred in the soap Home and Away.

The 48-year-old Hollywood star put the luxury Sydney property up for sale for $1 million, hoping to make a $828,500 profit on the apartment she originally paid $171,500 for.

The two-bedroom, one-bathroom home, located on the edge of picturesque Centennial Park, was listed for sale on Sept. 13, according to Domain.

JK Agency will conduct the first inspection on Thursday and the auction will take place on Saturday, September 28.

Isla managed to keep the family together in a small victory during her divorce from her husband Sacha Baron Cohen.

The former Home and Away star was just 19 when she bought the 1930s Woollahra apartment, which was renovated years later in 2020.

In 2018 it was renting for $650 a week, but during the COVID pandemic that amount dropped to $400 a week.

Current rental prices for comparable homes are around $765 per week and the average sales price in the area is around $1.31 million.

Isla and Sacha, 52, who jointly filed for divorce in 2023, have two daughters and a son, whom they often keep out of the public eye.

The couple first met in 2001 and married in 2010. The marriage came a few years after they moved to Australia with their family.

They moved from Los Angeles to Sydney in 2020 and then to Perth, where Isla’s family lives, in September 2021 to escape Sydney’s strict Covid lockdown rules.

At the time they said the move to Western Australia would be permanent.

However, their move from the US to Australia would be ‘difficult’ for Sacha as he lived in Hollywood and had a shorter flight to London from there.

The exes announced in April that they had quietly split last year.

“After a long tennis match of more than 20 years we finally put down our rackets,” Isla wrote alongside a photo of them wearing tennis gear.

‘In 2023, we jointly filed a petition to end our marriage. We have always prioritized our privacy and have been quietly working toward this change.

“We share forever our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate you respecting our family’s wish for privacy.”
