Isla Fisher is reportedly channeling her single life after split from husband Sacha Baron Cohen into her role in the highly anticipated new Bridget Jones film, Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy
Isla and British actor Sacha, 52, announced in April that they had quietly split last year
In addition to Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, she has been involved in several other projects.
She will star in Back to the Outback, a film about Australian animals escaping from a zoo, and Strays, an R-rated live-action and animated comedy starring Jamie Foxx and Will Ferrell.
Despite a busy work schedule and dealing with her three children with ex-husband Sacha, Isla has found time for her other passion: writing.

She recently completed her fifth children’s book, Mazy the Movie Star.

Isla and Sacha, 52, announced in April that they had quietly split last year.
The couple announced the news by sharing a photo of themselves wearing tennis clothes together.
Their statement read: ‘After a long tennis match of more than twenty years, we finally put down our rackets.
‘In 2023 we jointly filed an application to end our marriage. We have always prioritized our privacy and have been working through this change quietly.
“We share forever in our devotion and love for our children. We very much appreciate that you respect our family’s wishes for privacy.’
The couple first met in 2001 and tied the knot in 2010.
They are parents to daughters Olive, 17, and Elula, 13, and son Montgomery, nine.
Insiders claim their marriage has been ‘shaky’ for years, with Sacha reportedly struggling after making the ‘sacrifice’ of moving their family to Australia in 2020.
They had moved from Los Angeles to Sydney in 2020 and to Perth – where Isla’s family live – in September 2021 to escape Sydney’s strict Covid lockdown rules.
At the time they said the move to Western Australia would be permanent.
However, their move from the US to Australia would be ‘difficult’ for Baron Cohen as he had settled in Hollywood, and from there it was also a shorter flight to London.
The split announcement came shortly after actress Rebel Wilson made surprising claims about Isla’s ex-husband Sacha in her memoir, Rebel Rising.
The Pitch Perfect actress, 44, has made several claims against her former Grimsby co-star, 52, which he has denied.
