Isan Elba reveals she wants to follow in her father Idris’ footsteps as she poses for stunning Tatler shoot: ‘I grew up on film sets so it was a no-brainer’
Isan Elba has revealed during an interview that she wants to follow in the footsteps of her father Idris Tatler magazine.
The beauty, 21, put on a leggy display in a strapless blue denim mini dress as she posed for the stunning photoshoot.
She admitted that she wants to become a producer after “growing up on movie sets” thanks to her actor father.
Idris shares his daughter with ex-wife, makeup artist Hanne ‘Kim’ Nørgaard, while he also has a son named Winston, eight, with ex-girlfriend Naiyana Garth.
Speaking to Tatler, Isan explained, “I want to be a producer. I grew up on movie sets and I’ve been on that all my life, so it was a no-brainer.

She was also asked how she felt about her father being named ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ in 2018 by People Magazine.
She jokingly replied, “It is (cringe). I try to ignore it. Sometimes I wake up from nightmares in a cold sweat when I think about that.’
Isan then shared some advice her father gave her: “He always taught me to make sure you acknowledge everyone you are around because you never know who you are going to meet. They could be your next best friend!’
It comes after Idris revealed that his daughter Isan didn’t speak to him for three weeks after not getting a part in one of his movies.
The actor admitted that producer Will Packer had to break the news that she didn’t get the role in his upcoming film Beast, where she would have played The Wire star’s daughter as the family is terrorized by a lion.
Speaking on iHeart Radio’s morning show The Breakfast Club, Idris admitted that despite their genuine connection, the chemistry between him and Isan was “not good” for the film.

Speaking to Tatler, Isan explained, “I want to be a producer. I grew up on film sets and I’ve been doing that all my life, so it was a good idea.’
Idris explained, “The relationship in the movie and the relationship between my daughter was, the chemistry wasn’t right for the movie. Oddly enough.’
He added that Isan “hadn’t spoken to him for about three weeks” when she got a call from Will who confirmed she didn’t get the part.
Will himself also shared an insight into when he had to call Isan to break the news, adding: #I called and talked to her, because I’ve known her for a long time… I’m like ‘Uncle Zullen .”
“He (Idris) auditioned her, he was very strict with her, he said, ‘Listen, at the end of the day, we’re going to make the best decision for the movie. I trust you, Will, trust the director,” and she was very good, very close.’
Thankfully, Idris later clarified that Isan turned out okay in the end, and she even accompanied him to the movie’s premiere.
“She was very gracious about it and we got through it, you know, and I’m really proud of her for going through that, not getting the part, but still coming to the premiere,” he added.

Elba brought his first wife Hanne with him when he moved to New York to launch his career.
However, he struggled to master an American accent and had to work as a laborer and bouncer in a nightclub.
When Norgaard became pregnant with daughter Isan in 2001, the marriage ended because of the financial pressure. As it turned out, Isan was born the day he secured his role on The Wire, the launching pad for his later success.
