Isabella Strahan shares heartbreaking video update as she undergoes latest round of chemotherapy for brain cancer

Michael Strahan’s daughter Isabella, 19, has shared a heartbreaking update on her health as she recovers at home from chemotherapy for brain cancer.

The University of Southern California (USC) freshman was diagnosed with medulloblastoma in October after she began suffering from “excruciating headaches” and waking up every morning vomiting.

In a YouTube video titled “Vlog 8: Recovering from Chemo at home,” Isabella shares the aftereffects she faces while healing from chemotherapy.

The young adult is heard saying that “everything” hurts, that it feels like she is “having a heart attack” as she presses an ice pack to her head.

‘I do not like it. My head hurts. I have ice on my head. It feels like I’m having a heart attack. Things have definitely gotten a little better, but now my heart hurts.”

She also went into detail about the other pains chemotherapy has caused her body.

‘My eyes are tense, it hurts to look at the sides. My whole mouth feels like I’m having one giant root canal.

‘Every tooth was pulled out and not even surgically replaced. My jaw hurts, the underside of my tongue hurts. It hurts when I swallow water.’

Jokingly, Isabella went on to say, “I would say I would choose brain surgery (over chemotherapy), but that could be extreme. This is simply the longest journey.’

She also talked about her To-Do List, her food channel and her love of potatoes – and suggested she should change her name to ‘Miss Potato’.

The five-minute video also offered a glimpse of Isabella in the hospital.

After six weeks of radiation, Isabella was able to “ring the bell” — a tradition performed by cancer patients to mark the end of their medical treatment — earlier this month as the GMA host, 52, and her 57-year-old mother, Jean Muggli — who are been rebuilding their fractured relationship after learning of their teen’s diagnosis — cheered her on.

The 19-year-old has since taken fans behind the scenes of her difficult chemo preparation and process, including photos of her blood draw and the placement of a port device in her chest to administer the treatment.

Yesterday’s video was eighth in this series.
