Isabella Rossellini and Amanda Seyfried bond over their similarities in Lancôme campaign
Isabella Rossellini and Amanda Seyfried teamed up as Lancôme ambassadors, discovering in the process that they have a lot in common.
The Blue Velvet actress, 70, and the Mamma Mia star, 37, teamed up to shoot the brand’s ‘La vie est belle’ campaign that celebrates life and all that makes it beautiful.
“It was hard not to laugh all the time,” Seyfried said. Fashion. “Laughing is good, but not when you’re also trying to get some serious beauty shots!”
The actresses bonded over their shared enthusiasm for life, their children, and their farms.
“We talked about the goat rescues near her home in New York and how wild our chickens are,” said Seyfried, who is 100 percent interested in having a cameo in the movie musical Mean Girls. “She seems so interested, so involved in the same way that I am. I have to visit her farm one day.

Bonding: The actresses bonded over being artists, moms, and farm owners.
Both actresses were dressed in white for the shoot, with Isabella in an open-necked white shirt and Amanda in a sleeveless top.
Dark-haired Isabella wore a dark berry lipstick that made her coloring pop, while blonde Amanda wore a lighter shade on her lip that more closely matched her skin tone.
The actresses hail from different countries, eras, and generations, but were brought together by a unique shared trait: they are both farm owners.
“It’s incredibly comforting to be surrounded by nature and animals living simply and without ego,” the Mean Girls star said. ‘Something happens to you when you spend a lot of time taking care of them. You breathe a little slower, you walk a little slower. There is peace there, a healing symbiosis.
Isabella added: ‘Yes, the endless learning about nature.’
And the stars also shared their first impression of each other with the medium.
Isabella said: “I first became aware of her in the movie Mamma Mia when she surprised me with her immense talent. She is beautiful. She can act, sing and dance. In person, I found her very down to earth, very kind and approachable. ‘
Amanda added: ‘Isabella and I share very similar values in the way we choose to live our lives. We both embrace our land, animals, family, and philanthropy, as well as our chosen careers. It was easy for me to relate to her right away, even though we came from very different backgrounds.”

Perfume preferences: Isabella revealed that she wears perfume every day, while Amanda only wears scents on special occasions.
And Isabella shared her secret to keeping her spirits up, especially during the pandemic.
“During the COVID-19 lockdown, I realized that if I stayed in my pajamas, didn’t dress up, and didn’t wear makeup or perfume, at the end of the day, I was really down,” she shared with the magazine.
“The days that I got up, dressed, perfumed myself, used skin care products and put on a little makeup, the day ended on a more positive note. I felt stronger, more empowered. There is magic in picking yourself up,” added the Death Becomes Her actress.
Amanda revealed: ‘For me, it’s empowering to know your ‘strengths’. For example, I have thick healthy hair, I know, so I do less with it and focus more on my mascara, eyeshadow contouring and I love highlighting my lips.’
Back for more? Amanda, right, has said that she might return to Mean Girls for a cameo; Seen with, from left, Lacey Chabert, Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams
‘I dress up or enhance certain features, so I still feel like myself. There is a balance: in my eyes, less is always more,” said the Jennifer’s Body star.
The models were asked if they traded beauty hacks and Isabella said they have very different routines when it comes to makeup and perfume.
“We actually had opposite ideas about perfumes,” Isabella explained. She wears it every day, even when I’m home alone all day. The perfume is like a second skin for me. Amanda wears it only on special occasions.
“We talked about the skincare we both use every day,” the Wild at Heart star shared. Makeup is different for us actresses. It is not always an intimate and private process. Most of the time, it is applied by different makeup artists and not only to beautify ourselves but also to create different characters that we play.
