Isabella Falls, Cairns: Man, 27, falls to his death at popular waterfall ‘selfie’ spot

A man has died after falling off rocks at a popular waterfall in Far North Queensland.

Emergency services were called to Isabella Falls in Edmonton, a 20-minute drive from the Cairns CBD, at 4pm on Sunday.

It is understood the 27-year-old man was climbing rocks near the waterfall when he fell into the water.

Queensland Ambulance paramedics performed CPR on the man but he could not be saved.

It is the third death in less than two years at a popular multi-level waterfall.

Christian Laska, 17, fell to his death there in December last year, while a 19-year-old woman from Cairns died in May 2022.
