Is Travis Kelce plotting a tell-all BOOK? Taylor Swift’s boyfriend sits down with PRINCE HARRY’S Spare ghostwriter J.R. Moehringer for tell-all interview about his romance with popstar – and his ‘life after the NFL’

Is Travis Kelce getting ready to release his own Prince Harry-style story about his romance with Taylor Swift?

The NFL star, 34, not-so-subtly opened the door to a lot of speculation about his plans for a memoir when he sat down for an interview with no one else. than Prince Harry‘s ghostwriter, JR Moehringer, in which he shared a slew of intimate details about his and Taylor’s much-discussed relationship for the first time.

It seems like JR, 58, has certainly hit it off with Travis, as the athlete — who has largely remained tight-lipped about the relationship thus far — kept little to himself during their sit-down.

He opened up about everything from how he and the singer, 33, first connected after his failed attempt to get her his number on her show to what actually happens on their dates (hint, it involves drunken karaoke).

Exactly how the Pulitzer Prize-winning author got the sports sensation to reveal so much about the courtship that has captured the attention of millions is unknown, but what is clear is that the two formed a strong bond during the interview.

“I don’t know if I want to go into all of it,’ he says, and then he gets into it,” JR coyly writes of Travis’ reaction to asking about Taylor.

Interestingly enough, JR also managed to get Travis to open up about a topic he apparently refuses to discuss with his closest friends: retirement from the NFL.

“…They all say Trav lives in the moment, Trav never thinks about tomorrow, Trav never worries about retirement despite recently turning 34, making him a Gollum in the NFL, while Kelce confesses that he thinks about it non-stop, “more than anyone could ever imagine,” JR writes, adding that the tight end is in “24-hour physical pain” due to the injuries he regularly suffers on the field.

While Travis hasn’t revealed his plans for life after the NFL, given the incredible global response to his relationship with Taylor, a book doesn’t seem out of the question — especially one that would reveal the kinds of illuminating details about their romance that he shared with JR

The very revealing interview was done for the Wall Street Journal‘s upcoming December/January issue, which will feature Travis on the cover – a publication JR doesn’t normally write for.

JR is best known as the ghostwriter behind the Duke of Sussex’s explosive biography, Spare, which was released in January 2023 and quickly became one of the most talked-about books in the world.

Throughout the book, Prince Harry made a slew of shocking confessions about growing up as part of the royal family.

But JR’s career extends long before his collaboration with Harry – in fact, by the time they worked together on Spare, he had already amassed an impressive list of achievements.

After graduating from Yale University in 1986, JR. who was born in New York City but spent most of his childhood in Scottsdale, Arizona, began his career as a news assistant at the New York Times.

In 1994 he got a job as a reporter for the Los Angeles Times and in 2000 he received the Pulitzer Prize for feature writing.

He then released a memoir in 2005 called The Tender Bar, which was wildly popular and was eventually turned into a film of the same name in 2022, directed by George Clooney and starring Ben Affleck.

In addition, JR wrote the novel Sutton in 2012, which is based on the life of the infamous bank robber William Francis Sutton Jr., who stole an estimated two million dollars and escaped from prison three times throughout his life.

Spare wasn’t his first time working as a ghostwriter, as he also previously helped Andre Agassi write his 2009 memoir Open, and collaborated with Nike founder Phil Knight on his 2016 memoir Shoe Dog.

During JR’s WSJ interview with Travis, the Kansas City Chiefs player revealed that someone from the Cruel Summer singer’s team helped set them up after he said on his podcast that he wanted to give her his number.

In September, he had revealed how he had his digits engraved on a bracelet he planned to give her when he attended her sold-out show at Arrowhead Stadium in July, but was disappointed because he never got the chance.

Travis told JR that there were people “in her corner” who “knew who he was,” had heard the podcast and told her about it.

“I had someone who played Cupid,” he said.

He said they “talked” for a while before deciding to meet secretly in New York.

“Everyone around me tells me, ‘Don’t screw this up.’ And (I was) sitting there going, “Yeah, I get it,” Travis remembers.

The footballer also took advantage of the pressure he was facing as he tried to manage the renewed attention that came with the romance, while also making sure he doesn’t share too much.

“That was the most important thing for me: make sure I don’t say anything that would push Taylor away,” he continued.

“I’ve obviously never dated someone who had that kind of charisma. I’ve never had to deal with it. But at the same time I don’t run away from it.

“The criticism she gets, how much she carries a magnifying glass with her every day, paparazzi outside her house, outside every restaurant she goes to, after every flight she gets off, and she’s just living and enjoying life. If she’s acting like this, I better not be the one acting so strangely.”

During the interview, Travis described Taylor as “hilarious” and a “genius,” adding, “It was fucking mind-blowing to be with her and see how smart Taylor is.” I learn every day.’

Travis also revealed how he and Taylor once released the Wheatus song Teenage Dirtbag together during a late-night party at his Kansas City home.

“There was definitely some wine involved,” he admitted.
