Atlantic Beach, which sits on the western tip of Long Island, is just an hour’s drive away, as opposed to the much-vaunted Hamptons, 100 miles to the east – and a good two and a half hours’ drive, on a good day.

The Hamptons has long been the summer playground for wealthy New Yorkers and celebrities with many high profile individuals owning real estate and vacation homes in the area.

It offers beautiful sandy beaches, luxury shopping, art galleries, upscale restaurants and a vibrant nightlife, making it a sought-after vacation destination for the rich and famous.

When it comes to real estate, the Hampton’s market is one of the most expensive in the country – but now Atlantic Beach may be giving the area a run for its money.

“Prices here have almost doubled since COVID and now the return to a normal office work week is bringing a new wave of buyers who appreciate convenience. Some want to live here full time, others want a second or third home closer than the Hamptons, and they all have the same problem: there isn’t enough inventory for the number of buyers out there.”
