The British star — long touted as a possible replacement for Daniel Craig’s 007 — shows off his action chops in an exciting new trailer unveiled Thursday for the upcoming Apple TV+ miniseries Hijack.
The 50-year-old artist starred as a negotiator tasked with convincing a team of criminals who have taken over a plane to retreat peacefully.
The trailer started with Sam Nelson, played by Elba, making his way through Dubai International Airport before boarding a plane bound for London.
Shortly after takeoff, a squad of thugs took control of the plane and demanded cooperation from the flight’s passengers, their apparent leader referring to an “operation.”
