Is Naomi Biden pregnant? Joe’s 30-year-old granddaughter was ‘the talk’ of the state dinner as speculation mounts she will make him a great grandfather by the election
Speculation is mounting that Naomi Biden is expecting her first child and could make President Joe Biden a great-grandfather at a time when age is under scrutiny.
The eldest Biden grandchild and husband Peter Neal have not formally announced the pregnancy, but sources in the room said it was “the talk of the state dinner” last week. Naomi, 30, is expected to appear before the November election.
The East Wing did not deny the speculation in DailyMail.com’s multiple questions over the past two days.
Kathleen Buhle, Naomi’s mother, did not deny the speculation when contacted by DailyMail.com. She replied: ‘I don’t talk to the press, thank you.’
It would be the first great-grandchild for Joe and Jill Biden, who have seven grandchildren.
Naomi, who is known for wearing figure-hugging clothes for her slim figure, has worn loose-fitting dresses to her last two formal occasions at the White House.
As she and Neal entered the state dinner for Kenya last week, Neal appeared to gesture to his wife’s stomach as they posed for photos.
As she leaned against him, she saw what looked like a baby bump in her long, roomy, pleated metallic cape and Diana Ayad dress.
There is speculation that Naomi Biden – seen with husband Peter Neal at the state dinner last week – is pregnant
Online speculation about her condition began last month when Naomi wore a loose-fitting dress covered in cherry blossoms to a state dinner for Japan.
Since then it has only increased.
Naomi is cagey about the issue.
She posed for photos with her handbag strategically placed over her stomach at Japan’s state dinner. She repeated the pose when she attended the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner a week later.
The baby would be Biden’s first great-grandchild, earning President Biden the nickname “great-grandfather” as he heads into the November election. The grandkids call him ‘Pops.’
The news comes as voters have expressed concerns about Biden’s age as he seeks a second term.
An NBC poll last month found that the idea that Biden “may not have the necessary mental and physical health to be president for a second term” was one of voters’ top concerns.

Peter Neal and Naomi Biden have been married for two years
President Biden will turn 82 in November. He is the oldest American ever elected president.
The White House has tried to turn questions about Biden’s age into an argument that he is the most experienced person to hold the office.
But voters continue to worry about Biden in some ways that they don’t about Trump, who is 77. If Biden wins a second term, he would be 86 at completion.
Although many presidents have also been grandfathers – such as George HW Bush and Ronald Reagan – it is unclear the last time a great-grandfather sat in the Oval Office.
Naomi Biden is the eldest daughter of Hunter Biden and his ex-wife Kathleen Buhle.
She and Peter Neal were married on November 19, 2022, in a lavish ceremony on the White House lawn. She was the first presidential grandchild to marry in the White House.

Naomi’s sisters Finnegan and Maisey were part of the ceremony, as was her half-brother Beau, the son of Melissa Cohen, her father’s second wife.
Naomi and her sisters are often seen holding Beau at family events and at the White House.
She works as a lawyer in Washington DC
She and Neal lived in the White House prior to their wedding. They now live in Georgetown.
