Is Alexa Chung engaged to Tom Sturridge? The fashion icon sparks rumours with a bold new ring
Now that she’s back in the spotlight, has Alexa Chung finally revealed that she’s engaged to boyfriend Tom Sturridge?
The model, 40, first sparked engagement rumors with the actor, 38, in June, with the pair wearing matching rings in October.
But in a new video with fashion brand Mango, Chung is seen wearing a huge gold band with a red stone on her left hand.
Tom, the son of award-winning film director Charles Sturridge, seems open to marriage, while Alexa, for her part, previously mused: “I just don’t understand why marriage is any different from non-marriage – I just don’t get it.” ‘
In June, the couple wore matching rings, but in the new video, it’s hard not to notice the large ring on her otherwise bare hands.
The couple made their romance public last July when they attended day seven of the Wimbledon Championships.

In a nod to their very unique setup, they were joined on their first public outing by Sienna Miller, who looked cheerful as she sat in front of the couple.
Mr Sturridge and Ms Miller previously dated for four years and share daughter Marlowe, 13. They split in 2015.
But they are still on good terms, with Ms Miller calling Mr Sturrdige her ‘best friend’.
She gave her ex and Alexa her seal of approval, telling Vogue UK in December: “I’m really happy for them. It’s really beautiful.’
After their split in 2015, it was claimed that Ms Miller and Mr Sturridge had different goals. A source said at the time: ‘Tom wanted to get married and have more children. Not Sienna.”
Meanwhile, Miss Chung has enjoyed a string of high-profile romances.
Her exes include Alex Turner, Alexander Skarsgård, Orson Fry, Albert Hammond Jr., Faris Badwan, Faris Badwan and Theo Hutchcraft.
In 2018, she spoke to Porter about her thoughts on marriage, saying, “I just don’t understand why marriage is any different from non-marriage – I just don’t get it, I think having a partner in life is kind of nice must be. but I don’t necessarily need an anniversary’.

The new Mango video is Alexa Chung’s latest leap that puts her back in the spotlight.
At this week’s British Fashion Awards, she walked the red carpet in a £10,000 fluffy Miu Miu coat and later presented an award to Margaret Barbour.
In October she was back on the catwalk, modeling for Miu Miu during Paris Fashion Week.
And in September she released a collaboration with Barbour.
She originally started her career as a TV presenter and has since worked with the likes of M&S, Mulberry and J Crew.
In 2009, Alexa was named Vogue’s Best Dressed Woman of the Year at the age of 25, beating Cheryl Cole, Emma Watson, Sienna Miller and Kate Moss to the title.
That same year, she was appointed contributing editor of British Vogue – a position she still holds almost fifteen years later.
Now working with Mango, Miss Chung talked viewers through three questions about fashion and style.
When asked if age-appropriate clothing is outdated, she said, “I think it’s an outdated idea.
In June, the couple wore matching rings, but in the new video, it’s hard not to notice the large ring on her otherwise bare hands.
‘I think that any kind of rules, regulations or anything else that imposes an idea on you about how you should behave or be is quite old-fashioned and no longer appropriate.
‘Especially because it takes away the pleasure of getting dressed and you should have the freedom to represent yourself as you see fit.
‘I love a navy blue sweater, classic jeans, a trench coat, a Mary Jane, a loafer, and luckily they’re back in fashion.
‘But because I was always steadfast in what appealed to me, I didn’t really have to get carried away by trends.
“Maybe I like to buy or invest in pieces that will last longer.”
