Irving Azoff’s wife allegedly subjected a housekeeper to ‘sadistic’ sexual assault campaign

The wife of an ultra-powerful music producer inflicted horrific sexual abuse and torment on her housekeeper, an explosive lawsuit claims.

Rochelle ‘Shelli’ Azoff has been charged with ‘gender-based violence, sexual assault’ and ‘sexual harassment’ against former housekeeper Rosa Martinez, according to court documents seen by DailyMail.com.

Azoff is the wife of Irving Azoff, a legendary producer who was labeled “the most powerful man in the music industry” by Billboard magazine in 2021, after working with the likes of Christina Aguilera, Jon Bon Jovi, and The Eagles. The couple are worth an estimated $400 million.

Rochelle Azoff allegedly attacked Martinez with “cruel and sadistic” attacks that reportedly included whipping Martinez, squeezing her breasts, and burning her with cigarettes.

Martinez was also forced to clean Azoff’s sex toys and smell her employer’s dirty nightwear, the lawsuit alleges. Azoff is also accused of making Martinez, who is a size 14, fit into a size 10 outfit. DailyMail.com has contacted representatives for the Azoffs for comment.

After complaining about the abuse along with unpaid overtime, Martinez claims the behavior escalated up to three times a day in retaliation.

Rochelle’s husband, Irving, is also named in the lawsuit.

Martinez claims he knew about the sexual assaults occurring at his Los Angeles mansion and did not intervene.

The industry titan is also accused of having “foreknowledge that Rochelle Azoff had mistreated, abused and sexually harassed other victims” in the past.

frank kim of KimLegal, a Los Angeles-based law firm representing the housekeeper, told DailyMail.com: ‘My client thinks Rochelle enjoyed it. He was in complete control of her throughout the entire abuse of her…he thinks it was like a game to her.’

Rochelle Azoff allegedly began her reign of terror in April 2022, some four months after hiring Martinez as an in-house housekeeper for the Los Angeles power couple.

But after fighting over alleged unpaid overtime and Rochelle’s demanding schedule, she retaliated with “cruel and intimidating behavior” that was “often sexual in nature,” the lawsuit claims.

Forcing his housekeeper to “submissively obey,” the abuse allegedly included spanking the housekeeper and pinching her cheeks until she burst into tears, according to court documents.

Azoff also routinely called the housekeeper and stripped “for no apparent reason other than to ask (the employee) to compliment her body,” according to the lawsuit.

While at his lavish Los Angeles mansion, Azoff also allegedly forced the housekeeper to clean his sex toys and smell his nightwear to decide whether to wash them “even though they were dirty with bodily fluids.”

Kim added that the abuse could continue as long as there was “a power dynamic at play.”

“Rosa lived paycheck to paycheck, and it was a job she really needed,” he added.

“My client felt it was a game to her (Azoff), she knew Rosa needed the job and she wanted to see what she could get away with.”

Azoff allegedly escalated the abuse in April 2022, when he began sexually assaulting his housekeeper about three times a day.

On one occasion, Azoff allegedly approached the housekeeper and “violently squeezed her breasts.”

When she tried to escape Azoff’s clutches, she reportedly referenced a previous housekeeper’s lawsuit for similar allegations, saying, ‘What, are you going to sue me for sexual harassment?’

Other claims against the media mogul’s wife include forcing her to wear a size 10 uniform when she is a size 14 and ‘glaring at her’ when she cried.

Despite claiming to routinely feel ‘powerless’ in the face of attacks, the lawsuit claims the housekeeper stood up to her, only Azoff had a disgusting response.

After confiding in her that the inappropriate touching was especially triggering since she had been raped in the past, Azoff reportedly laughed in her face, before “pointing out that if she had really gone through the pain of rape, she would be strong enough to take it.” . her behavior.

The following month, Azoff is claimed to have called the housekeeper to his room while smoking a cigarette, before burning it on her arm “without saying a word”.

Notably, media mogul Irving Azoff is also named in the lawsuit, as it is alleged that he knew about the sexual assaults at his home, but “refused to take action.”

It is also alleged that he “had knowledge that Rochelle Azoff had battered, abused and sexually harassed other victims” before the housekeeper named in the lawsuit.

In 2012, Irving Azoff topped Billboard’s Power 100 chart and was named the most powerful person in the music industry, before being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2020.

Her fame and fortune contributed to the sustained abuse, Kim added, noting that Martinez said she “definitely felt intimidated by her status.”

Azoff has managed numerous major artists in a career that spans more than five decades, including Christina Aguillera, left, from whom he separated in 2020.

Eventually, after more than a year of alleged emotional and sexual abuse, the housekeeper told Azoff that she was quitting.

The housekeeper claims she was intimidated into agreeing to stay until Azoff found her replacement, leading her to stay in the house for almost two more months.

During that time, another indictment alleges that while the housekeeper was sitting on the floor of Azoff’s room fixing his shoes, she entered the room completely naked.

Then, “without any provocation or explanation, she leaned in so that her buttocks were immediately next to” the employee’s face, according to the lawsuit.

After she backed down, Azoff is claimed to have simply “left without saying a word”.

Feeling trapped and helpless inside the house, the housekeeper says she left a note on Azoff’s bed begging him to “please fire me”, after her attempts to resign were rebuffed.

“I can’t take this anymore,” he allegedly wrote. ‘My soul is crushed into a million pieces.’

In late June 2022, Rochelle Azoff finally told the staff member that she would accept his resignation.

However, he had one final condition for the housekeeper, supposedly he would only let her go if she signed a separation agreement, which he knew she would reject, or if she submitted to a strip search.

Faced with further humiliation, he relented and signed the separation agreement, something he claims was only agreed to “under duress.”

The court filing adds that after he finally made it out of the house, Azoff “slandered” the housekeeper at the agency he worked for, claiming she had let the employee go due to poor performance rather than “cruel and malicious” abuse. ‘. .

Mr. Kim also acknowledged this, saying that Martinez had had trouble finding employment since the agency let her go, and now “believes the agency left her because of Ms. Azoff’s allegations.”

Along with the shocking claims of sexual assault, the housekeeper joins the lawsuit in a separate indictment from another employee, who claims Azoff misclassified both of them as exempt from overtime to avoid complying with California employment laws.

Two allegedly confided in each other while working for the Azoffs, after noticing that they often worked double their agreed-upon hours without overtime pay.

The second staffer says that along with his unpaid wages, Azoff never paid his last check and allegedly tried to get him to sign a separation agreement.

“Presumably with the same threat” made to the housekeeper, the lawsuit claims.
