‘Irritated’ Suits creator sensationally claims royal family demanded word ‘POPPYCOCK’ be REMOVED from Meghan Markle’s script – because they were worried it’d be edited to sound like she said something crude

The creator of Meghan Markle’s hit legal drama Suits has sprung into his own true-to-life drama after sensationally claiming that the royal family had pushed for the word “poppycock” to be removed from her script, fearing clips would be edited to to make it sound like the Duchess of Sussex had said something rude.

Aaron Korsh, 56, the man behind the popular American show that featured the Duchess of Sussex for seven seasons, recently spoke to The Hollywood reporter about how things changed on set after Meghan started dating Prince Harry — and about the bizarre demands he says the monarchy made when it came to her lines.

His claims echo those of Harry, who claimed in his explosive memoir Spare that the Suits writers were becoming increasingly “frustrated” with the “palace communications team” “advising” about changes to Meghan’s text.

According to showrunner Korsh, the royal family has “weighed in on a number of things” — including what the Duchess of Sussex’s character, Rachel Elizabeth Zane, said in episodes filmed after she and Harry started dating — which he called “a little annoying.” found.

He said there was one specific word he threw into the script as a tribute to his own in-laws — “poppycock,” which is slang for nonsense — but claimed he was forced to change it after the royals vetoed it pronounced because it contained the term “c**k.”

The creator of the show Suits — who helped launch Meghan Markle’s career — has made a wild claim that the royal family demanded he remove the word “poppycock” from her script.

He also addressed the supposedly bizarre demands the monarchy (seen in June 2022) made when it came to Meghan’s lines.

Aaron (seen) claimed he was forced to change the word “poppycock” to “bulls**t” after the royals vetoed it because it contained the term “c**k”

However, when asked how the palace officials got the script in the first place, he suddenly drew a blank and said he “couldn’t remember.”

He also experienced a hole in his memory when the Hollywood Reporter interviewer wondered who it was who told him she shouldn’t say the term on the show.

“(The royal family) got involved in some things. Not a lot of things anyway, but there were a few things that we wanted to do and couldn’t do, and it was kind of annoying,” Aaron explained.

“I remember there was a certain dialogue line and look, I’ll just say what the line was.

‘When my wife’s family has a subject to discuss that may be touchy, they use the word ‘poppycock’.

As a nod to my in-laws, we’d have (Meghan’s character) say “poppycock.” And the royal family didn’t want her to say the word.

“They didn’t want to put the word ‘poppycock’ in her mouth. I guess they didn’t want people mixing things up by saying “c**k.”

Aaron said he had “some sympathy” for the situation as he “wouldn’t want anyone to do that to her either” but noted that he wasn’t happy with the trade, revealing that he eventually changed “poppycock” to ‘bull**t.’

However, when asked how the palace officials got their hands on the script, he suddenly drew a blank and said he “couldn’t remember.”

Aaron (seen with Meghan in 2017) also suffered amnesia when the outlet wondered who it was that told him she shouldn’t say the term on the show

‘I can not remember. It could have been the director-producer at the time, or her agent,” he said, when asked who told him she couldn’t say “poppycock.” Meghan can be seen on the show

“I didn’t like it because I told my in-laws that (poppycock) was going to be on the show,” he continued. “There might have been one or two more things, but I can’t remember.”

When the interviewer pressed the subject, Aaron insisted he “didn’t know” how the royal family “got the scripts.”

“I was aware that they read them because I got the feedback, but I don’t remember the process by which they got them,” he added.

Prince Harry previously confirmed in his book that Suits’ “show writers” had become “frustrated” with the “palace communications team” forcing them to “change dialogue lines.”

He was also unsure which of the royal family had been in contact with the show about the matter.

‘I can not remember. It could have been the director-producer at the time, or her agent,” he said, when asked who told him the Duchess of Sussex couldn’t say “poppycock.”

“Whoever it was, they loved having to tell me as much as I enjoyed hearing it.

“When you’re making and performing a show, every time someone tells you you can’t do what you want to do,[being annoyed]is your first reaction.”

Buckingham Palace declined to comment when contacted by the Daily Mail.

Suits aired from 2011 to 2019, but Meghan left after its seventh season in 2017, just months before announcing her engagement to Prince Harry, whom she began dating in 2016.

During her time on the show, Meghan played a fierce lawyer named Rachel who was determined to make a name for herself after spending years in the shadow of her successful lawyer father.

She fell in love with her colleague Michael James Ross, played by Patrick J. Adams, and the final moments of her story showed the couple getting married and moving to Seattle together.

In Prince Harry’s memoir, Spare, due out in January 2023, he stated that the “show writers” had become “frustrated” with the “palace communications team” forcing them to “change lines of dialogue” as he reflected on her decision to say goodbye taking the show.

Meg packed up her house and gave up her role on Suits after seven seasons. (It was) a difficult moment for her because she loved that show, the character she played, her cast and crew, and Canada,” Harry wrote.

“On the other hand, life there had become unsustainable, especially on set. The show’s writers were frustrated because they were often advised by the palace communications team to change the lines of dialogue, what her character would do, how she would act.”
