Ireland Baldwin reveals the ‘fancy’ name she selected for her daughter

Ireland Baldwin plans to name her daughter Holland.

Speaking in Girl Boss Radio PodcastIreland revealed that she selected the name because she herself is also named after a country.

The 27-year-old model, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend RAC, explained with a laugh: “We’ll call her Holland.” I’m Ireland, another country because we wanted to be consistent.’

The name was also inspired by actress Holland Taylor.

‘And then I love actress Holland Taylor. I’ve always liked that name since I was young, I thought it was such a classy and beautiful name, so let’s go with Holland’.

Ireland announced her pregnancy on New Year’s Eve, posting a photo of her ultrasound and tagging her RAC partner, whose birth name is Andre Allen Anjos, in the image.

“Happy New Year,” he captioned the image.

Baldwin and Anjos began seeing each other in 2021 and he made his first appearance on her Instagram in June.

Last year, RAC announced that he and Baldwin had opened a store on the Oregon coast called Good Times. The two also have plans to open a cafe together.

Ireland slipped that she was expecting a daughter on Instagram before her mother, Kim Basinger, confirmed the news on her own account.

The model referred to her son as “she” when she embarked on a virtual venting session about her pregnancy earlier this month.

‘If one more person asks me to send them a picture of my belly, I’m going to lose my mind. Because I don’t have one. My daughter is nestled so deeply in there, and I’m tall, and there’s a lot of room for her in there,” Ireland said in the videos of her.

It’s been a tumultuous few weeks for the Baldwin family, after it was revealed that Ireland’s superstar dad, Alec Baldwin, will be officially charged with manslaughter for his role in the tragic shooting in Rust of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

Prosecutors in Santa Fe, New Mexico, formally filed charges today against Baldwin.

Baldwin has vowed to fight the charges. He says that he never pulled the trigger and that it was a tragic accident.

If convicted, he faces up to five years in prison.

Gunsmith Hannah Gutierrez-Reed was also charged.
