Iran’s chilling ‘threat’ to Israel: Regime warns flames of war will spread across the Middle East if Israeli truce with Hamas terror group is not extended
Iran has warned that the flames of war will spread across the Middle East if Israel’s ceasefire with Hamas is not extended.
The chilling statement was made by Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian.
Israel and Hamas agreed on Wednesday to a ceasefire in Gaza lasting at least four days to allow aid to flow in and free at least 50 hostages held by militants in the Palestinian enclave in exchange for at least 150 Palestinians living in Israel to be imprisoned.
Israeli families now wait in fear to see if their children will come home tomorrow, while Hamas terrorists will reveal the names of the ten hostages to be released tonight during the temporary ceasefire.
Israel signed a deal last night to free 50 women and children kidnapped by Hamas gunmen on October 7 during the ceasefire.

According to Egyptian media reports, the process of retrieving the first group of hostages is expected to begin tomorrow at 10am (8am GMT). Some have suggested this could happen even earlier, at 7am local time. Israel has yet to confirm the time.
The hostages’ relatives have waited in anguish, not knowing whether their loved ones will be among those released tomorrow.
But for some, that painful wait will end tonight after it emerged that Hamas terrorists will give Israel the names of the ten hostages to be released tomorrow through the Red Cross. reports Israel National News.
Ten hostages will be released each day on Friday and Saturday, while another 20 will be released on Sunday – the last day of the ceasefire, reports said.
But anguished family members of the hostages fear Hamas cannot be trusted, with one exhausted relative saying the terrorists will do “whatever they can to ruin the deal.”
Yosi Shnaider, whose cousin Shiri, 30, was kidnapped with her four-year-old son Ariel and 10-month-old son Kfir, told the BBC he feared the deal might not go through. ‘I try to be realistic and I know who we are dealing with. They will do everything they can to ruin even this deal and I am afraid,” he said.
And Israeli politician Ben Gvir said the release of the hostages was a… ‘dangerous precedent’ that could play into the hands of the terrorists. The far-right politician said the deal, which sees 150 Palestinians released in exchange for 50 hostages, gives Hamas terrorists everything they want.
