The day-old baby girl who was taken from a Queensland hospital may be at ‘significant risk’ as police continue their frantic search.
The newborn was wrapped up at Ipswich hospital on Monday afternoon in a white Suzuki Liana registered 095HI8.
Queensland Police issued an urgent orange alert on Tuesday for public assistance in locating 18-year-old Khloe Bornen, the child’s mother.
The pair have been missing since Monday and police have serious fears for the child who they say is “at significant risk.”
Police now want to speak to 18-year-old Khloe Bornen, who is believed to be with the baby
The newborn was bundled in a white Suzuki Liana with registration 095HI8
Khloe is white, about 165 cm tall, with a proportionate build and brown hair.
Photos released by police show her wearing a nose ring.
Authorities previously said two women were seen taking the newborn from the hospital before bundling her in the white Suzuki Liana.
That car has since been found, but the baby has not yet been found.
Police are now enlisting the public’s help in finding the mother and daughter and are urging anyone with information to call 000 or 131 564.
