The secret way to schedule text messages in advance on your iPhone: ‘This changed my life’

- The hack allows people to resend messages once, daily, weekly or monthly
iPhone users are ‘over the moon’ after discovering a simple hack to schedule text messages in advance.
While Apple devices don’t have a built-in feature to schedule text messages, there’s a simple trick for those who like to plan ahead — and you already have the workaround on your phone.
The ‘Shortcuts’ app allows users to schedule messages months in advance, with an option to resend the message daily, weekly or monthly.
The app can also be used to set alarms, enable maps, play certain songs when your phone connects to CarPlay, and send emails.
A daily message can be useful as a greeting to a family member or partner, while a weekly or monthly text is useful for certain chores or errands.

Users can schedule posts as one-off, or daily, weekly, and monthly
Shortcuts were first introduced with iOS 13 in 2019, so the app should already be on your phone if you’re running the latest version of the software.
Users with older versions can still schedule their text messages, but they must manually download the ‘Shortcuts’ app from the AppStore.
To schedule your SMS, you must first click on the ‘Create Personal Automation’ option and select the ‘Time of Day’.
Then you have to click on the ‘Message’ icon and choose whether you want to resend it daily, weekly or monthly.
Users can schedule posts as one-off, or daily, weekly, and monthly.
But if you only want to send the message once, you can disable the recurrence after your message has been sent.
Once you’ve selected a time slot, all you have to do is hit the “Send Message” option, then turn off the “Ask before you start” feature and the text will be sent automatically.
