Pre-orders for the new iPhone 16 models just started yesterday, but we’re already seeing shipping dates for several models being pushed back beyond September 20, when the phones will hit store shelves (note: this only includes US sales).
If 9to5Mac Reportedly, the iPhone 16 Pro Max is the most sought-after model (or maybe it’s the model Apple has the least stock of): we just checked, and all colors and storage configurations are now listing a 3-4 week delivery time in the US.
The situation is slightly better if you want to order an iPhone 16 Pro. Certain configurations show a delivery time of 7-10 business days: all colors except Black Titanium with 128GB, and all colors except Desert Titanium with 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.
If you want a Black Titanium 128GB iPhone 16 Pro or a Desert Titanium 256GB, 512GB or 1TB iPhone 16 Pro, the delivery time is currently 5-7 business days. However, the situation is changing quickly.
Colors and configurations
Most colors and configurations of the iPhone 16 Plus will remain available through September 20, with a few exceptions: the Teal 256GB and Pink 512GB models have a delivery time of 7-10 business days, and the Ultramarine 256GB model has a delivery time of 2-3 weeks.
Finally, the Teal 128GB iPhone 16 is available in 7-10 business days, and the Teal 256GB and 512GB iPhone 16s are available in 2-3 weeks – all others are currently shown off on September 20. Either Teal is a really popular color, or Apple didn’t make that many of those variants.
Ny Breaking readers have previously told us that Ultramarine is the most popular colour for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, but at the moment it’s only available in short supply on the 256GB iPhone Plus 16 handset.
Delivery dates will likely continue to shift as more pre-orders are placed – but be sure to check times for your own country and region. If you absolutely want a new iPhone 16 on September 20, you can also head to your nearest Apple Store on that date.
