Caitlin Clark suffered a bizarre injury during Iowa’s 100-92 loss to Ohio State when she was run over by a rowdy Buckeyes fan while leaving the field after the game.

On Sunday, footage of the 21-year-old guard went viral on Value City Arena, as she jogged back to the Iowa locker room.

Clark can be seen dropping to her knees and lying prone in pain after the collision, while many of her Iowa teammates ran to her side to make sure she was okay. Fortunately, it was, as evidenced by comments during her post-match press conference.

“Kind of scary, because it could have caused me some pretty serious injuries,” Clark said at first. ‘(It) knocked the wind out of me. But luckily teammates picked me up and took me off the field, so… and their AD already came and apologized to me. I really appreciated that.

“This comes with the territory. I’m sure they did their best to do what they could. It clearly didn’t work out and that’s disappointing.”
