Ioan Gruffudd denies daughter Ella’s claims over door slam involving girlfriend Bianca Wallace

Ioan Gruffudd denies explosive claims by his 13-year-old daughter Ella that his girlfriend Bianca Wallace “slammed a door on her head,” MailOnline can reveal.

Ella, whose mother is Gruffudd’s ex-wife Alice Evans, made the claims last month while filing for a restraining order against Gruffudd and Wallace in Los Angeles.

The girl claimed that Wallace “slammed the door on me, causing the door to hit me on both the head and arm,” and she was left with a bruised arm and a bump on her head.

But Fantastic Four star Gruffudd has now given his side of the story, claiming in new court documents that Ella did indeed throw her arm through the front door when it closed.

The 49-year-old said Wallace, 30, called out to him when he was in the kitchen brushing oats out of his hair and clothes after Ella threw them on him.

He added: “She (Wallace) was visibly shaking and nervous. She told me that when Ella tried to close the front door, she stuck her arm in the door as it closed.’

This contrasts with Ella’s evidence, which states that Wallace “slammed a door on her head” and left her with “bruises” when she tried to flee their home after an argument on May 26.

The incident occurred when Gruffudd took Elsie and Ella to his apartment to meet Wallace for the first time.

How court evidence from Ioan Gruffudd and Ella Evans varies

Here are the comments in separate court documents from Ioan Gruffudd and Ella Evans, who gave different accounts of what happened at Gruffudd’s Los Angeles home on May 26:

Ian Gruffudd

‘While I was in the kitchen brushing the oatmeal out of my hair and clothes, Bianca called to me. She was visibly shaking and nervous.

That’s what she told me when she tried to close the door front door, Ella threw her arm in the door as it closed.

“She said the kids were out the door house and that I would follow them.’

Ella Evans

“I was able to walk around her and opened the door.

“I was able to walk half way out of the door, but while I was still in the door frame, the respondent slammed the door on me, causing the door to hit both my head and arm.

“My arm got bruised and I had a little bump on my head.”

Ella said in her entry that she was “so angry” with her father that she “threw milk on his bed, poured mustard on the floor and threw raw oatmeal all over him.”

She claimed Gruffudd and Wallace then called her “manipulative,” “abusive,” and “narcissistic” — words the actor denies using in his submission.

After the argument, Ella “decided she couldn’t be in that apartment anymore” and tried to leave — saying Wallace “tried to block her” by “raising her arms.”

“I was able to walk around her and opened the door,” Ella’s testimony continued.

“I was able to walk half way out of the door, but while I was still in the door frame, the respondent slammed the door on me, causing the door to hit both my head and arm. My arm got bruised and I had a small bump on my head.’

The evidence from both Ella and Gruffudd agree that Ella then tried to run out of the apartment with her father in pursuit.

Gruffudd said in his entry that he followed the girls, but Ella yelled at him that she was going to call the police – and the girls then ran out the garage door.

He continued, “I caught up with them for a while and asked them to come back. They laughed and seemed to enjoy the drama. They kept running away and I tried to keep an eye on them when I called Bianca to ask Dr. LeGagnoux for help.”

Finally, Gruffudd said he caught up with them when they got into the car of the father of one of Elsie’s friends, a man named Dennis Hauk.

Gruffudd said, “I spoke to Dennis and we agreed that he would take the girls to Alice’s house and that Bianca and I would follow him to make sure they arrived safely.”

Ella also gave her version of events in her court submission last month.

She wrote, “My father caught up with me and he tried to stop me from leaving and tried to grab me, and I kept avoiding him.

“I kept yelling, ‘Don’t touch me! Do not touch me!’ I was able to get away and ran outside with my sister.’

Ella said Gruffudd ran after his daughters and “eventually caught up with them,” claiming she “screamed at him, ‘Your girlfriend slammed a door on me!’ to which he replied, ‘No she didn’t, no she didn’t, stop lying.’

The girl added that she called her nanny, Gloria Flores, who made arrangements for Mr. Hauk to pick them up.

She wrote, “My father and Dennis agreed that Dennis would take me and my sister to my mother’s house and that my father would follow.”

The next day, she said Evans saw the bruise on her arm and made the decision to call the Beverly Hills police, who referred them to the West Hollywood police station where the incident took place.

The revelations from both parties come from documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court after Ella filed for a temporary restraining order against Gruffudd and Wallace.

Ella has also filed for civil harassment protection from Wallace, whom Gruffudd has been dating since 2021. The application will be heard in court next Friday.

The restraining order was filed following the incident at Gruffudd and Wallace’s home while Ella and her nine-year-old sister Elsie were visiting.

It marks the latest development in the amazing domestic drama that began when Gruffudd left his then-wife Evans in 2021 after 14 years of marriage.
