Investment titan Charlie Munger dies aged 99: Warren Buffett’s longtime business partner at Berkshire Hathaway passes away ‘peacefully’ at California hospital

Warren Buffett’s longtime business partner Charlie Munger has died at the age of 99.

Berkshire Hathaway, the company that Buffett co-led with Munger, announced that the investment titan died “peacefully” in a California hospital on Tuesday morning.

“Berkshire Hathaway could not have been built to its current status without Charlie’s inspiration, wisdom and participation,” Buffett said in the press release.

Munger served as a sounding board for Buffett on investments and business decisions and helped guide Berkshire as vice chairman for decades.

But he had already made a fortune before he started working with the business mogul and was worth an estimated $2.3 billion earlier this year.
