EXCLUSIVE: Levi Davis trailer as investigator says he KNOWS who is behind X Factor star’s disappearance in Spain
A British private investigator claims to have identified the person responsible for the disappearance of former Bath rugby union player and X Factor star Levi Davis.
Gavin Burrows told MailOnline that investigators have presented a body of evidence to Spanish police which suggests that an as-yet-unidentified man drugged, groomed and manipulated Levi over the course of several months and was therefore after his disappearance in Spain last year.
Initial reports suggested that he may have drowned in the city’s harbor after his passport was found nearby, but Burrows’ team believe it is likely that he is still alive.
They claim to have discovered a digital recording of their prime suspect admitting to posting Levi’s photo on a dating website and accessing his social media accounts just three weeks ago.
Levi was last seen leaving an Irish pub on October 29 after taking a ferry from Ibiza, but disappeared just hours after arriving in Barcelona.
In a breakthrough in the case, a private investigator claims to have identified the person responsible for the disappearance of former Bath rugby union player and X Factor star Levi Davis.
Davis traveled on a ferry from Ibiza to Barcelona from where he disappeared in October
In a video recorded days before his disappearance, Levi alleged that an unidentified man drugged him and forced him to perform sexual acts shortly after his run on X Factor in 2018.
He said that he was being manipulated and blackmailed by this man and several other unidentified people, who, according to Levi, threatened to kill him and members of his family if he did not cooperate with their nefarious plan.
The former Bath rugby player said at the start of the 15-minute footage: “Hello, my name is Levi Davis and my life is in danger”, before claiming he was filmed performing various sexual acts after being drugged – image blackmailers . used to control and manipulate it.
He said: “They told me in a way that is not direct but absolutely true that they were going to try, if I said something, they were going to try to kill me, threaten my family.”
“And they were also trying to frame me.”
His video call for help was mysteriously removed minutes after it was posted on his social media, but Hotline investigators obtained a copy last week.
Burrows claimed he had retrieved the Instagram video, which Levi first posted four days before he went missing, and posted it with the agreement of family and friends to help get information.
Now Burrows believes his team has uncovered the mastermind behind Levi’s harrowing situation.
In the clip provided to MailOnline by Burrows, Levi says that after completing his X Factor stint in 2019, he met an unidentified person with whom he began a relationship and met regularly, until he was once drugged.
Levi was lured to Barcelona on a pretext and was never seen again. Two days after I posted the video of him on social media, he disappeared,” Burrows said.
The investigator said that the evidence has been handed over to the Spanish authorities and he expects more details of the case to be published in the coming days.
Levi played Premiership rugby union for Bath between 2017 and 2020, when he joined Ealing Trailfinders. A year later he signed for Worthing Raiders.
The rugby player turned reality star starred on X Factor: Celebrity in 2019 with fellow rugby players Ben Foden and Thom Evans as part of the Try Star group.
In 2020, the year he made history by becoming the first rugby player to come out as bisexual while still playing, he appeared on the E4 dating series Celebs Go Virtual Dating.
