An intruder has tried to break into Drake’s $100 million mansion, just one day after his security guard was shot nearby.
Toronto police told DailyMail.com that someone tried to gain access to the Bridle Path property – and ended up fighting with security officers outside.
They added that the intruder, who has not been named, was being held under the Mental Health Act. In Ontario, this law allows officers to take people into custody if they pose a threat to others or themselves.
It comes as Drake’s security guard was left fighting for his life after being shot outside the property in a drive-by shooting the day before.
Police said Wednesday’s burglary is not related to the shooting.

A police perimeter was set up around the mansion after the victim was found in the street with serious injuries shortly after 2 a.m.
The musician is currently involved in a viral feud with rival rapper Kendrick Lamar. Although officials have not indicated any connection to the shooting, Drake is said to be “cooperating” with investigators.
The incident took place in the upmarket area of Bridle Path shortly after 2am on Tuesday, when the unnamed 48-year-old man was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after being found ‘outside the gate of the house’.
He was reportedly lured outside by a car blaring loud music.
Toronto police told DailyMail.com they could not confirm whether the rapper was home at the time of the shooting.
A suspect fled in a car and reports indicate they are still at large.
Sources told Toronto Sun that the victim was Drake’s security guard, and witnesses said he was shot multiple times in a drive-by shooting.
The area around Drake’s mansion, built by the star in 2015 for a reported $100 million, was cordoned off by a police perimeter during the ongoing investigation.
The victim is said to have been ‘standing outside the gate of the house’ when he was struck by several gunshots and found in the street with serious injuries.
He was taken to Sunnybrook Hospital and underwent emergency surgery, with one of the wounds believed to be on the upper chest. Officials later described his condition as “life-threatening.”

About an hour earlier, a man was shot and a woman was wounded in another shooting in Oakwood Village, about ten miles away. It is unclear whether the two shootings are related.
Previous police reports said the shooting took place several blocks away, but the information was later corrected to indicate the shooting took place outside the rapper’s home. Stold us CP24 that Drake has offered to cooperate with investigators in investigating the shooting.

As the two men have released “diss tracks” against each other in recent weeks, Lamar shared the cover of his track “Not Like Us,” which features Drake’s mansion under the markers for a sex offender app.
At a press conference Tuesday, Detective Inspector Paul Krawczyk said there is no evidence at this time that the shooting is related to Drake’s viral feud with Lamar, and the motive remains unclear.
“It’s so early in the investigation that we don’t have a motive at this point,” he said.
The shooting suspect fled the scene, police said, and investigators have not yet released a description of the shooter or the vehicle.

He then reportedly spent $100 million building the massive estate, located on one of the most valuable streets in all of Canada.
The artist is known to be private about the details of his home, although he has occasionally offered fans glimpses into the luxurious property on social media, including showing off his private basketball court.
The shooting in the early hours of Tuesday is not the first time the home has been involved in serious incidents.
On March 30, 2021, a woman was arrested outside the mansion after allegedly attacking a security guard with a knife.
